Grabo buy out is a (frank) up, just for the fact that it drives the resign price on Bozak and Kadri up. I've considered that it might shorten the list of teams Bozak can go to by one, but I don't think that would be substantial enough. Could have buried him in the minors for a year and then used the buy out if we didn't have salary room.

I hope you're right. Paying too much is a given. But if he becomes a fan favourite that means good things are happening.

I always really liked Grabs and thought he had something going on, but his comments today are a female dog move. Ripping the coach after being moved at any time is totally unpro and you rarely see it. Smart guys and sportsmen know how to say the right thing. Especially when you had a poop year and you are getting a very golden handshake to go double dip on your salary elsewhere.

Kessel vs Hamilton now. The only way we see Seguin vs Kessel in da playoffs is a Dallas/Leaf cup final. Not bloody likely seeing both those teams in the final. Mabie one of em can fluke it in but not both.

The top three teams in each division will make up the first 12 teams in the playoffs. The remaining four spots will be filled by the next two highest-placed finishers in each conference, based on regular-season points and regardless of division. It will be possible, then, for one division to send five teams to the postseason while the other sends three.
