Hey I agree with you but posting 2-third liners isn't that convincing.

What about the Norris Trophy winner? Sorry, what about posting two Norris Trophy winners?

This is a reach, but maybe Nonis is closing in on Ference and didn't want any bad blood in the locker room? That's a pretty poopty thing to do, but it is business. The cap savings are attractive though, so long as Nonis spends it wisely.

Nope. But my expectation isn't for them to come up after extended AHL time and be major NHL contributors. Those players are already in the NHL. Kadri was an exception but you can't convince me he wouldn't have been even further ahead had he been in the lineup instead of signing Connolly.

Of course not all players are going to come up and make an impact or come up at all. That does not mean it isn't a league where players are developing. When players get hurt, thats where the replacements are coming from, not junior. So you're hoping and working to try and build some players that can contribute.

AW said it right. It plays its role. Its not a machine that churns out superstars but it plays its role.

I think HH is right in calling it a holding league as much as we are right calling it a developmental league. Its the fricking minors, maybe three guys on each AHL team develop into NHL players, maybe one on each team makes a big impact. Anyways, anymore on bozak?

From the website. '88% of current nhlers are ahl graduates'

Sounds like some development might have happened there.

Look at the Habs getting bigger and stronger up the middle.

Finally adding some toughness to that lineup.

For once, a move not involving a player people will call a soft midget.

Saw this on twitter

Would a Briere-Gionta-Gallagher line be the first in NHL history wherein nobody was allowed on the rollercoaster?

At least you guys will win a few shootouts.

OK I agree with that. But when I hear development I think of players getting better. Not convinced of this.

i think a lot of the guys who "developed" in the ahl were from the 2002 or 2003 draft class which may skew the numbers as well
