yes.. he tries to carry the line a bit much.
but considering this move leaves the leafs pretty damn short at centre my guess is there is a UFA deal already in place (like leafman says) or a trade is in place.
it wouldnt make sense to jettison a centre which would effectively give another centre more power at the bargaining table
like i said.. i will wait n see.. i wont jump to any conclusions because only a fool would think the leafs are standing pat at this point - Dozzer
You know that Bozak has signed. I told you earlier in the week. Didn't make sense not to sign him.

leafs cannot rely on free agency when more and more teams are keeping their best players -3 top 2014 free agents already resigned -Datsyuk, Letang, Giroux |

You already replaced Grabovski. Obvious the second Bolland signed. - honesthockey
What I am saying is that unless they bring someone in that will be above Kadri, he is laughing, as he can now say if you want me in the 1C spot, you better pay up. |

how much of an upgrade are those two over Grabo? - Nastradamus
Anything would be an upgrade over the Grabovski we got last season.
I'm sure we can find an adequate replacement who makes less. In fact, with Bolland, we already did. |

I don't know if we really win with the Grabo buy out though, unless they bring in someone substantially better - Nastradamus
We win the buyout simply because of the contract itself, especially for future negotiations with other players. It set a bad precedent, an easy starting point for other players scoring 40-50 points to demand the same, for example Bozak. |

yup, this.. bolland is the new checking line centre.. kadri is obviously centring the second line unit now
so who is the new first line guy?
i know you are a fan of bozak's character play but i sincerely hope we didnt jettison grabo for him.. that move is sideways at best |

You would honestly take Bozak and Kadri over Grabo and Kadri if those are the two options on the table? |

That's why, aside from the half-year he was playing sick, his line has been the Leaf's best. - Feeling Glucky?
His "line" had one good season. Period and it was more on Kulemin and MacArthur stepping up then anything Grabovski did. |

Grabovski is bought out today, Seguin is traded by the Bruins. The Leafs win! - ThePresident
They are about to give 6m per to a third line guy in Clarkson with that cap space now and a division rival who just went to the Cup without Seguin being a factor just got a 70 point guy in Eriksson ...not a win for the Leafs |

How has he signed when he's talking to three teams today? The Grabo move isn't to make room for Bozak, its for your other guy.
Yes, i think clarkson is signing here tomorrow. |

how clarkson can justify a 6m dollar signing i'll never understand... the guy is a career 25-40 pt guy |

If bozak was signed, it would be announced. Leafs own his rights... There is zero reason to wait.
Time to get over yourself. Bozak is heading to free agency. |
