Don't be fooled into thinking seguin won't be a great player in this league, just because Boston misused him.

He's barely hit puberty

too much..... you'd just be creating another hole in our lineup somewhere else.

Would have to be prospect and a pick should be enough other than gards and reilly of course

Kessel for Dougie Hamilton and Loui Eriksson
- LeftCoaster

I doubt the trade is straight up Loui for Tyler, so we will see...

Here's a good question: who would you rather have, Kessel or Eriksson...?

I say Kessel... but I haven't seen much of Loui....

If the Leafs don't end up with Weiss or Ribeiro then Nonis deserves a stoning
- toskala4vezina

id like neither, thank you

weiss is overrated and rebeiro would probably try to include a cocaine allowance in any contract he signs

You are honestly kidding yourself if you think Bolland was traded for to play the 3rd line. Look at CHI depth compared to ours. Christ we are entertaining the thought of signing Bozak for 5mil or more, and even worse Clarkson for 6mil, and he has only had one 30 goal season in what..? the past 9?
- Jaker

If a career 3rd liner who got run over last season was acquired to play in a scoring role, instead of a center who has scored the 13th most goals since 2010, so that they could push a 21 year old with one good half season into a 1st line role then you might as well already start researching the top prospects for next year's draft.

i don't know if it was boston that misused him or his real immaturity. I don't know what went on behind closed doors but i would really hang on to him if I were boston

Does trading a 28 year old d-man with 25 minutes, capable of 200 hits and 40 points straight up for a 27 year old 40-50 point centre make sense? It doesn't to me.

I'll remind you of that should Bozak sign elsewhere.

Nonis is a smart GM. He doesn't do this buyout of Grabovski, unless he has someone else sign, sealed and delivered. There's a reason that he needs all of this cap space and I'm sure by tomorrow, it'll reveal itself. Unlike Burke, who was all style and profile, Nonis waits until he has all of his ducks in a row, before he shoots. Looking at it logically, it's someone that has been flying under the radar and probably a player that has a high cap hit. So we wait.......................

Clarification on free agent window, All teams received a memo from the NHL this afternoon stating No negotiation or verbal offers allowed.

So teams are allowed to talk to players, but not discuss contracts, or anything like that.

I'm sure Nonis is just calling Ribeiro to ask what the weather's like.

absolutely not... our problems last year had more to do with defence than offense.

getting rid of dion despite what some people might think willl really handcuff this team.

Had a great year as a 20 year old in the AHL, just has value I guess...and he's an offensive dman, and a lot of teams like to move them.

It would be funny though right?
