Kessel _____ Loops
JVR Kadri _____
Kulemin Colborne Bolland
Orr McClement _____

Lots of holes to fill. Sure that Mclaren comes back, but he isn't get much playing time anyway.

I say now's a good chance for a guy like Ashton or D'amigo to earn a spot, which isn't really a bad thing. You gotta give these guys a chance to play eventually.

That 2nd-line wing will be an interesting fill though

What are the general thoughts on Kulemin's future? I'd like to see Chiarelli make a play for him if he can't land Alfie.

I'd like to extend a special thank you to the select few that were attacking me for saying Grabovski will not be a part of the Leafs next season, greatly appreciated.

If the price is right I'd love to keep him. He may not put up crazy points but he does his job well

I did too.

Which makes me believe the only reason you do this is because you are making a move that improves the postion.

Right?

Please Lord, let me be right.

I really hope so, and I hope to god its not Bozak.

Grabovski gets bought out today and married tomorrow. From one big contract to another.

-from a friend of mine

- Feeling Glucky?

Technically speaking, he gets bought out tomorrow.

Wow, that's pretty nasty timing.

you may have Kulemin for 1 of the following straight up:

Bergeron
Seguin
Krejci
Hamilton

probably in that order of preference... (and yes I'm aware that's not a fair trade. But life's not fair)

Now this is gold Jerry..

@felixpotvin Grabovski supposedly had the worst season of his career and had 4 points less than Bozak.

How, he gets a big pile of cash and the opportunity to go sign another deal. He is getting a big favour handed to him.

What if Nonis is ready to try the JVR at centre experiment that we were all taking about 6 months ago?

its the tone in how you present it.. by dropping the "logic" comment at the end it makes the tone of the entire post seem holier than thou

this point here explains your thought process further.. before.. the post only infered that nonis was creating cap space to resign kessel and dion with this move.

- Dozzer

Alright, wasn't my intention. I apologize. You and I both know I am far from an item on your list of issues these days. Moving on.

Yes, I meant regardless of these moves. There's a lot of chatter on here about needing space for the big extensions next summer, when in reality, contracts like kadri's and franson's may require just as much cap room.

He won't ever put up big numbers again, but he's a very good two-way guy. He regularly wins every fitness competition at training camp.

1 year left at a cap hit of $2.8 million.

So feel free to toss proposals our way, but he won't come cheap.

Honestly this pisses me off. Legit. (frank)ing burke even said oh we had first rounders being offered for guys like grabo, mac, etc. But we didnt want to trade them. Then he signs those (frank)ers to extensions. And now guess what? They are irrelevant (frank)s to the leafs now. Ones bought out and the other ones not being resigned because he sucks poop. So that year when that line had a career year, with career high points, was the BEST time to trade them and get maximum value. Whatta joke leafs management is, they really NEED to get a clue.
- Mapleleafs_91

There's a good point in here. Go from opportunities to add first round draft picks to the stockpile, to buying out / walking away for nothing.

Genius.
