He's performed at a mediocre level for years, and forced me to watch him (and paying a lot of money to do so).
I'm a season ticket holder - I go to a lot of games.
He's simply not very good. He's afraid of the puck.
It's not personal.
It's my sincere belief that the Leafs need to improve at the centre position (an opinion that every single person who has ever seen a hockey game happens to agree with).
Bringing Bozak back sends a signal that you are perfectly OK with the status quo.
The status quo was sneaking into the playoffs in the final week of the season, and losing in the first round.
Is that what you want the Leafs to be this year? Because I don't.
Bozak = mediocrity.
I want better.
I demand better. - Atomic Wedgie

I liked Grabovski, he was a serviceable player, better then Bozak in my opinion. Not his fault that Burke gave him that ridiculous contract, wish he was making 4 million per year so it would make more sense to keep him, but at 5.5 it never made sense. Wish him well on his next team, he's a great 2nd liner. He'll regain his form, just with a more reasonable contract. - ThePresident
I did too.
Which makes me believe the only reason you do this is because you are making a move that improves the postion.
Right?
Please Lord, let me be right. |

The cap going up next year frees up even more cap space. You just proved my point further. If they fit under the cap as is, additional cap comes with a riding ceiling, and buyouts coming off the books, there's no reason to panic about finding room for extending them. And that's assuming the team spends to the ceiling this summer.
And really? I wasn't trying to be a smartass, I was implying that logic be used. Is that an offense? I get the sensitivity with some of the crap that goes on, but geeez. Relax. - joel878
its the tone in how you present it.. by dropping the "logic" comment at the end it makes the tone of the entire post seem holier than thou
this point here explains your thought process further.. before.. the post only infered that nonis was creating cap space to resign kessel and dion with this move. |

Nobody loves Joe Thornton as much as me.
But he is 34 years old.
Simply put, he wouldn't be worth whatever the Sharks demanded in return.
Forget about it. |

Yeah I wasn't buying that Mac would get a first but when I heard Grabs would I was all for it - AngryWhiteMale
Honestly this pisses me off. Legit. (frank)ing burke even said oh we had first rounders being offered for guys like grabo, mac, etc. But we didnt want to trade them. Then he signs those (frank)ers to extensions. And now guess what? They are irrelevant (frank)s to the leafs now. Ones bought out and the other ones not being resigned because he sucks poop. So that year when that line had a career year, with career high points, was the BEST time to trade them and get maximum value. Whatta joke leafs management is, they really NEED to get a clue. |
