You have absolutely no offense at all. Drafting Jones was kinda dumb IMO. Could have traded that pick and got a lot for it. A lot of help on offense.

I personally think Jones was overhyped... If Drouin or Barkov were available at 4 I would do Vanek and are 8th.

But with the top three offensive players gone, who were they going to draft to make an impact on offense right now? There wasn't anyone. Monahan or Lindholm are at least a season or two out.

This is what I wonder too but I think that choice is more about his family but then why not choose the NYI? Not much farther from his family and at least they will make the playoffs....and hey who knows maybe his friend Ryan Miller will be there.

If I'm a free agent, I'm going to the NYI. This team isn't messing around anymore. Finally.. they need to get this goaltender situation fixed, though. I'm telling ya, between the NYI, Panthers, Preds, Leafs, Blues, Jackets and Stars.. the landscape in the NHL is going to change very soon. The salary cap took a while, but it's going to even things out.
