I didn't mind Bozak when he was with the Leafs but I am strongly on the side of not resigning him......to any amount. I would rather just go with the four centres we have and add some more muslce to the top six. Also, I have a sneaking suspicion that buying out Grabo would come back to bite us in the ass when he lit it up with another team.

Since UFA´s cannot sign contracts with teams until tomorrow 5th of July, what would LeCavalier do if Habs/Toronto or any other team would offer him an improved proposal of say 7y, 7m/year..?

I´m referring to the new rule of ´officially´ able to negotiate before the 5th of July, but only able to sign starting 5th of July..
Last year there were some announced signings by teams (I think Parenteau was one example?) that then eventually were not confirmed, the player in question signing with another team.
So the point is that Lecavalier can not officially sign a document before tomorrow; any ´contract´ signed before tomorrow would not be a valid document...

Maybe not. I just see him as a much better option than Bozak and do believe he would 'find' his game somewhere else if we let him go.

Bozak - 4 mil / 4 years AT BEST! Anything more then that is just a waste of money.

The 8 year thing is a negotiation ploy to get 6 years, and I STILL think that's way too much. You would also have to think that this is setting the table for Kessel's deal as they are good pals and wish to play together.. which is total crap in my opinion.

Bozak needs to grow up a little and understand the fact that he is NOT a #1 center, but he is a good #2 and a nice asset to have on special teams (mainly the PK).

Sign Bozak to 5 years at 2.5 million per. That way we can get Kessel to resign long term to stay with Bozak
