wouldnt surprise me with Tanguay now there. I wouldnt mind it.
But that forces the avs to trade Statny right now, for some Dhelp.
Tanguay, Duchene, Parenteau
Landeskog, O'Reilly, Iginla
McGinn, MacKinnon, Downie.
Dont mind that one bit - DDM-Coga
Swap Tanguay and Landeskog and you have the line Feaster was trying to build.

``but I continue to maintain that their best course of action is to select throw cash at a guy like Stephen Weiss for a few years and allow their players to develop. Heck, throw cash at Weiss and Bozak and insulate the center depth just a little bit more``
Well said Colin!
Any free agent signing will be just that, insulation to get to the next step. They won`t be ``going for it``. Someone has to play. |

(frank), we got to go for it every year! none of this insulation poop. I'm not paying money to see rentals. I want to see our TEAM! |

can I call it the Feaster line?
now that makes me sad...poor guy...Roy would be a genius for that line, he would be a goat...the guy does need some slack |

All this talk about Seguin... How would the price for Bobby Ryan compare? - jtommyt
Seguin for Ryan, now that is a deal that really helps each team. A better player and winger for Boston and a perfect 1-2 punch up the middle with Getzlaf & Seguin.
Boston would have to give up more and the deal doesn't solve anyone's cap issues but it is interesting. |

just wait till the season begins and trade for stastny after about 20 games in - DDM-Coga
I like this. Much better than giving the farm for Seguin (still a question, however promising), or signing Weiss (!!!!) or Bozak.
And no, they don't need Gerbe. Nigel Dawes anyone?
Stick with the script, trade for a big contract or two (that expires in the near term) + asset for a team needing cap relief
The only trade that interest me is Cout or Schenn. Trading Brodie, Baert or Backlund for anything would be unwise so as to keep in the right direction of this rebuild. |

Rumours are floating around Iggy may go to Colorado...you like? - whipper334
Best fit for Iginla is in California. LA or SJ, take your pick.
Vancouver seems like a dumb move for both sides. Colorado needs no more help up front. Unless you are implying 3rd line duties for him and Tangs which seems laughable and sad |

Leafs fans should understand this the most. They wanted a first line scorer and they gave up assets to get one in Kessel. Now they Kessel and need a centerman which they could have had if they exercised a little patience. - Colin Dambrauskas
Kadri's closer to being a first line centre than Seguin is.... |

Seguin is a 1C on a bad team. Not his fault he is logjammed behind 2 great ones.
And Kadri, if 1C next yr, means the Leafs have a terrible spine. |

What does everyone think about trying to land Andrew Ference? I think we need another top 4 dman. He's getting on a little in age but a two year deal might be alright. I was so mad when Sutter traded him for rental players. I think he has a solid two - four years left. |

I do- since I see it twice a day
Seguin wants to play C, he won't in Boston unless he is on the 3rd line. He won't be traded to a rebuild like Calgary and not play the position.
As for Ference, why not? Maybe we can add Montador and Pardy while we are at it.
In all seriousness, he is an improvement on Butler, so there is that. Don't see him motivated to come back tho....and he is old and small. Not what Feaster is trying to do. Plus, he was Sutt's boy, not Feaster's |

Instead of Bozak, or Weiss, or Seguin, you know who Calgary SHOULD target?
Ribeiro, for a 3 yr. Would be a cheapish option, and a great mentor to the kids. I actually quite enjoy how he plays. Better check with his wife first though. |

I bet you Ribeiro gets at least 5 mill a year. Easy. His production hasn't really dipped either. i don't think he is the best teammate either. Didn't he get into it with Saku and someone else? |

Seguin split time on wing and centre because of the Bruin's depth at centre. Marchand was also originally a centre but played a lot on the wing. He started as a centre, and is a natural centre. Apparently you aren't very familiar with your poop. |

So he's a 1C at the NHL level even though he hasnt really played C at the NHL level. I would be uneasy about giving up a lot on that assumption. |

I'm a Leafs fan and I can say that you are 100 percent right about Bozak. He is a 3rd line center. Kadri put up way more points and he didn't get to play with Kessel last year. Hope Bozak leaves to some place where he can actually play on the 3rd line. |
