Couldn't disagree more with your thoughts on acquiring seguin. At any stage I think you go for someone of his calibre, that being said I believe you may be correct saying we may not have the assets to get him. To bad really I'd love to see him on a line with sven!

Very true, funny thing is to get Seguin you would have to pay Bartschi, solid player or prospect (no more than 3M cap combined), and a 1st in 2014.

Unfortunately Calgary won't get him because that price is way too high.

He and Johnny G could play on opposite sides of Jankowski and we could call the line "the bell curve".

There's probably a dozen GMs that can offer a better package and if I'm one if them I call chiarelli and tell him if seguin is available talk to me before u deal him.... Price might be too high for most but I gotta believe at least one would offer more then cgy could ... Seguin to flames is a pipe dream

The one thing I can say is I like that tallon picked who he thought was the best pick available and didn't just pick the big name. The kid is the same age as Mac one day younger. And has been playing against men for the last two years and he has size which I really like.

I would have gone with Mac if he was available but he wasn't so Barkov was IMO the next best pick for the panthers.
