Also he is a FA next year but I wouldn't say we need to dump him, he should be a very strong acquisition for a team at the deadline looking for a top 6 center. - Meeqsb
I only said dump because you have McKinnon, duechene and o'rielly on the roster. But if you're looking for younger d what about luca sbisa? Other young prospects include vatanen and Clark. You could probably have one younger player and one older. I'd even consider putting in a draft pick |

Naw, don't think any of those players are any good. Heard nothing but bad about sbisa over the past year anyways, makes boneheaded plays.
Sure the Avs are crowded but that doesn't lower stastny's value. He is still a good player. |

Yeah, me too. It'll be a fun game but mainly to shut up all those idiots on the east coast who think it can't be done. - duxcup07
It' can't be done. In January the average temperature in Anaheim, in January, during the day is between 68-72. At night it drops to anywhere between 47-51, on average. |

Good thing the game is being played north of Anaheim in Dodger Stadium then. |

Nope, not with Myers new cap hit. Besides, Cam is pretty much untouchable. - duxcup07
BobbyRyan for KeithYandle would be nice |

How do Ducks fans feel about Miller+McNabb/McCabe+a 2nd rounder or two? You get a good starting goalie, a nice defensive prospect and a pick or two, plus the flexibility to move Hiller for some return. Could also maybe add Leino or Stafford for offensive depth? |

Dude, the one thing we don't need is a goalie. This is the deal, Bobby Ryan for Cody Hodgson. Neat, clean, simple. |

I get the impreasion we could probably get more from buffalo. Hodgson would be a great pickup but maybe a tad unproven |

In that case sign me up! In the last few days I've started to hope that we find a 2c without giving up bobby. It would be cool to see what he could do with a qualified center. Who knows, his trade value might even go up |

Agree, but there are already 7 signed. I would love to sign Scuderi but I can't imagine being able to get rid of some of those contracts for draft picks. |

He inherited a solid core of getzlaf, perry, selanne, ryan and others. All he's done is add bust first round picks with a hope that they click (Souray, Boynton, Whitney, etc). Sometimes- well, all the time- I even wish he was Dean Lombardi. There's a difference between being proactive and getting quality players to help the core and being passive. Murray just turns other teams scraps into "low risk-high reward" players. Too bad the reward hasn't come yet.
Might I add that we have only won one playoff series with him as gm. Okay my rant is over. - selanne4pres
This is a pretty short sighted view of what Murray has done. He inherited Getzlaf and Perry, and basically an empty farm system. Murray has turned the Ducks farm into one of the best in the entire NHL. Palmieri, Etem, Gibson, Fowler, Vatanen, Lindholm, DSP, Anderson, Rakell, Karlsson, Laganiere, the list goes on. This is a goldmine of prospects, which he has built up while actually keeping the team competitive (using those stopgap players you mention). Now the Ducks are relatively healthy with regards to the salary cap, with one of the best prospect groups in the entire league. Murray gets so much flack when he has basically set Anaheim up to succeed for the next decade. |
