Indeed, I like Pittsburgh's situation slightly better since all their assets are worth something, but I am not sure how they fill out their team next year with out a serious cap increase that I have my doubts will come.

Whatever. Carter went to CBJ for half the god damn year. You still lost both those players. I have a feeling if keeping those two players yielded a Cup, you'd have never done such a trade. You'll never know what could have been, I guess.

I agree that there's nothing wrong with taking a chance on Bryz as a back up. Flyers fans just have a bad taste in their mouths bc the guy didn't perform up to that contract.

That being said it's getting old seeing people say Philly handed LA a cup by trading them carter and Richards bc that didn't happen. The amount of time Carter spent in Columbus is irrelevant It's a lazy way to make a trade sound stupid by acting like they're responsible for then both going to LA

Few more things.... If pronger wasn't injured they'd be a different team. They don't need to LTIR pronger to get under the cap as much as having pronger injured has helped cause a need to move pieces and spend over the cap in the offseason.

Next year is always relevant in sports.
