Morons? This coming from a team who actually wants coburn or as we like to call him "Cobum", he stinks hopefully you guys do take him off our hands. Ill trade him to ya for a new pair of skates for giroux. Good luck with him, oh and iff you think bryz is a good pick up at goalie i would reconsider calling us morons and start looking in the mirror, eh.. |

Tom Gilbert is a useless turnover machine, he's great if we are looking for someone to end the season at -50... |
|
|
|
I would take Ballard over Gilbert, at least Ballard has hit people in the past.
I cannot see any opposing forward worried about entering the Oilers zone with Schultz, Petry, Gilbert, and Schultz back there.
That is a soft line up. - oilcats
Very true |

I would take him as a 5-6 tho... just to insulate Klefbom for a year of AHL... |

Again? Who's saying this now? I heard about it in February, but thought it went away. - Lahey

I still believe Ladislav Smid is the primary asset that needs to be moved if the Oilers want to acquire Braydon Coburn
As I said in the last thread, this is the Gilbert-Schultz trade all over again.
100% meh.
Two guys who play at similar levels, but have different skill sets.
What's the point of making the move, it doesn't even save the Flyers much Cap space.
Should the Oilers bring in Gilbert and Coburn, they'd have the ability to give Oscar Klefbom a year in the AHL to develop.
Yes to this
This should be the plan.
The other bonus is that when February comes and injuries pile up, there is an actual player to recall.
Its gonna be great to read all the Gilbert back and forth again, God I missed it.
Sux. No he didn't, Sux! Did Not. Did too.... |

Pretty much. The funny thing is the players keep getting better

Who's next?
I'll just be pissed if we don't grab one of these guys at some point for depth. |

I keep saying Belov is going to surprise everyone...best defenseman in the AHL last season.
Pretty sure he never played there. - HouseArrest187

You misspelled KHL??
That reminds of that line about Terry Bradshaw: he couldn't spell CAT if you spotted him the C and A. |

Richard, have you ever tried using some of the tools available on capgeek, such as the Cap Calculator? If you did, and used a little speculation on some moves that they could make. You'd see that the Flyers are actually in decent shape Cap wise. |

When he's ready you guys will like yakimov. Big third line centre that the oilers desperatly need. I could see a Russian line in the oilers future featuring him, Anton slepshev, and dannil zharkov. All third round selections that will make your team look nice |

I wasn't thinking to Edmonton.
I still think Petry is very attractive to teams like PHI that have cap issues. I just don't know that I want to move him. Then again if we are getting a Schenn in return I don't really care. |

KLowe is not going to destroy the fiscal outlook of the team over players like Daniel Briere or Tyler Bozak. If he's going to risk some cash, it will be on younger players who have something to prove like Pouliot and Mueller
pouliot and bozak at the same age? |
