For 3yrs at 3.5 then maybe. WIthout Kessel and/or Lupul I think Bozak is just a mediocre third liner. - whipper334

I'm not sure why people are hesitant about giving up Baertschi for Sequin. They're the same age while one is still a prospect and the other has shown he can be a number 1 center. Seguin is farther along in his development and still has more potential.
The Flames wont be as bad as people think and will be better than last year. Iginla was terrible last year as was Kipper and it wont be that hard to replace what they did. Look what Columbus was able to do last year by shipping off their star and focusing on a team game. I have confidence in Hartley's system and I they're starting to get players that fit. I'm not a crazy person who thinks they're going to compete for the cup but I expect them to be fighting for a playoff position.
Their pick may very well be a top 10 pick but I'd still give up the pick and Baertchi if that brought Seguin back but I don't think Seguin is actually available. |

I personally don't like giving up a 1st. I think next year we finish bottom 5. However who knows, maybe this team actually plays better under Hartley and we finish between 13th-8th just like the last 3 years. |

You have a point due to the fact next year's draft isn't very strong from what people are saying. |

Money doesn`t really matter these days. 3 years at 5 mil for Bozak is OK by me. The Flames need all the help they can get up the middle.

I wouldn`t give up both. But if it was Baertschi and Backlund it wouldn`t be too bad I guess. Moving forward up the middle with Seguin and Monohan would be nice. But i`m not sure how much center Seguin has been playing the last few years. |

The Flames are so bad down the middle it`s not even funny.
Bozak is a first line center in Calgary unfortunately. |

Callamari and a 2nd for Sequin. Anything more is overpayment for Ken Hodge Jr.,, sorry, Sequin. |

I'm not totally sold on Bozak for 5 million but he did win the 3rd most faceoffs in the NHL last year. |

Thats exactly the problem for him in Boston. They had him on the right wing, he needs to play center.
And the fact the B's have 7 centers is a problem as well
Bergeron, Krejci, Marchand, Peverley, Campbell, Kelly & Seguin. |

Don't go "All Hakan Looby" on me now, Sequin MAY end up being an overhyped Bust, just like Hodge Jr. |

Seguin hasn't shown that he's a number 1 center though. He's played 3rd line center, and some second line wing...

In other news CLB is looking for an established scoring winger with heart. According to the GM size doesn't matter. Looking for a guy who can score 25-30 goals. I think Cammy fits that perfectly. |

get Seguin, he fits the rebuild, can build around him...Bozak not so much - poohcrumbs
Agreed. Tricky trying to acquire him without moving pieces that you'd use to build around him though. |

Thats why Boston should trade him, right now he's being wasted imo. |

I agree. I think Chirelli loves Gaudreau though. Maybe swap him for Baert. |

I like that post as well. The team was built around Iginla & Kipper. Iginla has been steadily declining & Kipper has been one year off the next. Both are complimentary players but when they are the core of the tea & the coach is trying to build a system around them, well, that was just a waste of time. We are literally better by elimination. Cammi wont resign next year so we may as get as much value as we can now or at the TDL. If we get even average goaltending from Ramo & Berra, with the younger hungrier players we have already, this team is better than last year. |

You bet the B's know about Gaudreau. I don't care what the trolls from up north say, this kid has elite hockey skills, Backlund is a solid #2 or #3 centre whose possession numbers are one of the best on our team. He's also young. Anything more above those 2 is a huge overpayment. I wouldn't be happy about throwing a 2nd in there if Seguin wasn't a perfect fit for us. Having him on the third line in Boston is waste of the player & a waste of 5.75mill of cap & salary. Bruins are that strong of a team for that to be possible. |

Yeah maybe Gaudreau and next years 1st gets it done... |
