Funny how everyone keeps saying this but if it was the case then he would of just accepted the devils offer sure he wouldn't mind going home but it wouldn't surprise me the least bit if he leaves and never has a good season again. He didn't do anything till Deboer got here and he was is coach in jr. Someone is going to give him relatively close to what he is asking

I can't wait to see who is going to be the punchline of a lot of jokes for a while.

Make sense. Glad to not have to listen to the "You guys are in a lot of trouble when Marty retires" crap anymore we should be a playoff team with schnieds and the experience on our roster even though each year the offense is getting thinner and thinner. I think you guys got a really good thing going with Reimer/Bernier

Really excited to see Myles Bell in Albany. Hopefully he's up with the ADevils and not with some ECHL bums.

"I had actually seen Myles myself when he was a defenseman and I don't think I've seen a player shoot the puck any harder than he shoots," said Lou Lamoriello after selecting Bell. "And when I say that I'm not exaggerating."

Hotdamn, that is an asset we could always use.

Yeah man, Im real happy with Reimer/Bernier

And for those that thought Uncle Lou didn't have a plan or know he needed someone to take over for Marty, don't know much about Hockey.

Clarkson is really pushing it. I mean I understand where this might be the only time in his career that he tries to get a big money contract but I dont think a team will sign him for that long. Not for the type of game he plays. Yes he scored 30 goals but he has problems with scoring droughts. I could see a 4 or 5 year deal for 3.7 mil a sesaon

This is laughable. His best offensive season he scored 46 points, his second best season was 32 points. We're talking POINTS. NOT GOALS. 6 Million a year. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Not even worth 4 Million. The minor leagues are full of guys who can get 30 points and 100 pims.

People are starting to laugh at how bad our free agents are now. When will we stop being so bad?

Honestly the more I think about it, the more I'd be alright with it, as long as he comes cheap and for just a couple years.

Ya something like 1-2yrs at 4-4.5m per wouldn't be terrible of a signing.

As an aside, is it just me, or are these compliance buyouts getting ridiculous? Gerbe, seriously? Dude was making 1.45m with one year left and the Sabres are now where near in cap trouble.

i wouldnt mind him for 1-2yrs for no more than 3 (preferably under) since we dont really have any forwards in the system and not much assets to get a top 6 forward

while he sucks defensively and has slowed down offensively he can still produce and thats more than we can say about some others

if he plays with elias then i think that could be good

henrique-loktionov-kovalchuk
elias-zajac-briere (plays better as center tho)
tedenby-josefson-zubrus
carter-gionta-bernier

hmmm which of our 921781319 "tough guys" will be in the line up? kostopolous? barch?

well at least steve santini sounds like a good prospect and guy (shut down dman 2nd round)

he reads the newspaper (not on the internet) and is very religious, i have faith that he wont get in trouble

*as a prospect i like him and think he can be good for us, just not a fan that we didnt look for offense that high as thats more of a need

I dunno, I understand their purpose, but I'd sort of rather have lines that are trying to score...

Our team simply is better when CBGB is in tact, we're worse when they break it apart to throw Barch or Nonstopolous on there.

I'm hoping for under 4 for his 40 games/year. Maybe we'll get 15g, 25a out of his injured self.

Ya Hedberg to the Flyers for Brayden Schenn and Couturier, pretty fair trade I think.

I could see them dealing Couturier to be honest. He might not be too happy being the #3 behind Giroux and Vinny for the next 5 years

I've been trying to get on for the past ten minutes or so. Now anxiety is hitting. Unless its nothing and they need a bigger server. Pleeeeeease be Patty resigning. Or buying Volchenkov out

Does Couturier still live with Briere?

Here's the plan, we sign Briere, and then we get Couturier somehow.
