I'm not a Scott supporter... But if he is only playing 20 games next year I wont care to much. Gerbe wasn't a 4th line grinder and wasn't good enough for the 3rd or 2nd line. Glad he is gone.

He even got a penalty the one game for chirping at the (I think) Boston bench trying to get someone to fight

If we get one of those three in 2014, it's unlikely we'll be bad enough or lucky enough to get McDavid in 2015.

But he did produce as a rookie playing mostly on the 4th line
Contributed a lot more than Scott ever could
Gerbe was one of our best players down the stretch when we went on that run that got us into the playoffs
Is he great, no
But he wasn't the problem w this team either

I'd rather have him play 8min a game & let one of the kids play 20min in Rochester
If we're bringing someone up to play on the 4th line I just don't see the point
Def don't wanna see another situation like Grigorenko was in last year

Go back and watch the Sens game where they dressed Kassian and Neil. Scott wast dressed. What happened? They ran around like morons all game long. Robin Regher had to fight Neil. That proves my point right there. Ask any NHL player who they would rather have? A 5'5 player who scores maybe 20 Pts a season or a 6'7 enforcer who scores 3 if we are lucky and dresses for 20 games but has their back all the time. They would pick the enforcer every time
