Bucky Gleason to write a scathing article within the next couple of days about this being another sign that the Sabres are going in the wrong direction (e4).

I'd rather watch the kids lose than the garbage that was on the ice last season. In that sense, it won't be worse.

My expectations for the win/loss column are zero but Im just excited to ice the youngest team in the NHL and watch them grow.

This should be obvious. Who is going to want to come to a rebuilding team? Neither Ehrhoff or Leino would have signed a few years ago if they knew where the Sabres would be now. I don't want big name FA's signed here anyway. Time to tank for ?

1/3 of 1.85M over two years should be a $308K hit against our cap for next 2 years.

Anyone listen to Zadarov this morning? They were talking about Pronger, asked him if they played like him, Zadarov said "I play like Nikita Zadarov. I play my own style"

Much better interview with him than Schopp

Exactly. One of my favorite games of the last 10 years was the night we beat Toronto with 8 minor leagers in the lineup. I know it won't be quite like that but I am also ready to watch the kids, for better or worse.

Good,
I wanna pick top3 next year

- jdfitz77

I want a top three pick next year and if Buffalo has to trade everyone in their 2015 draft to get Connor McDavid than that's what they need to do.

Much better interview. Loved his quote on the KHL. When Peters asked him how teams phrased the question of the KHL during the combine, Zadorov said they basically asked if he didnt make the NHL in 2-3 years, and a team from the KHL offered a lot of money to go home, would he go?

His response? "I laughed and said "You guys dont have money here (in NHL?)

Then Sylvester with his 1 funny line of the year "Have you met Terry Pegula yet? Hes got money"

Better than Scott...
By far!
At least Gerbe can skate, stick handle, shoot... U know, play hockey!
Gerbe scored more as a rookie than Scott has his entire career

Ya, ya, Scott's our "enforcer"
But what good is he if no one will fight him anymore?
If he isn't going after guys like Lucic or Chara he's freaking useless

Ill call this a mini shock but fact is he couldn't play consistent minutes at the NHL level. It's the right move in my eyes. Let the kids get his minutes. Gerbe isn't an NHL regular. His story was great and he has a great work ethic but it only gets you so far when you are 5'5. Now back to my round of golf

But according to Terry Darcy hasn't done anything wrong! You would think with as long as Darcy has been here he would have figured out how to build a team. When and if this experiment fails Darcy will finally be shown the door with the rest of his incompetent staff.
