The blues defense made those goalies look better than they are. I already know what Miller can do without any type of defense in front of him. If youre doubting whether or not Miller is an upgrade, you should do some more thinking.

I am not going to argue that the Blues defense and system makes them look better than they are.. but I still don't think Miller will be that much of na upgrade, no matter how much I think about it. But that is just an opinion

without a proper defense miller looks like he did last season and the season before the olympics. he has his moments of falling but flashes of brilliance.

the man is a warrior and I know people love to give him grief but we're going to miss him when he's gone. he'll never be hasek and so many people are so used ot hasek that they rip miller but our goaltending will be worse when miller leaves.

Numbers a measurement of a players performance. Theres very few stat categories that dont give a clear picture (for example +/-). Its hard to argue against things like -- Ennis was a 20 goal scorer in the NHL 3 years comparatively before Briere even had a full season.

You dont really have to argue, the numbers do it for us. Brian Elliot pre-Blues and Brian Elliot with the Blues are 2 different goalies.

True... but the modern day system for success in the NHL cannot work with an above average goalie and weak-mediocre defense. Look at the last several cup winners.... they won with star power, great team defense, while having a goalie that got hot at the right moment. Miller's too expensive and I think we can win a few years down the road with Enroth or whoever in net.

We will be bad next year, and possibly for the next few years, however we need to build the team from the ground floor up.

i remember watching Elliot in Ottawa and thinking to myself, he isn't as bad as they are making him look.. he showed flashes of being good but couldn't put it together.. I am not saying he is better than Miller because I don't think he is, but I don't think he is a far fall from Miller and he just started to put it together after the Ottawa disappointment. Some people get woken up when things like that happen

At the end of the day I don't think Buffalo will be dealing with the Blues

Miller is a good goalie on a bad team. Is he Hasek? Hell no. Is he top 10 in the league? I definitely still think so.

is Miller really an upgrade for them? I think not
