Unfortunately his cap hit hurts. I don't think he'll be traded anyways. - Michael_Stuart

But 6.5 mil. Okay in his zone but yes everything else. He looked overwhelmed in the Boston series. - tpd11
First time in the playoffs will do that to best of them. Remember home useless Brad Richards was in the 2003 playoffs? And look what happened 2004! |

I think mike ribeiro is a good 2nd line centre even though many lightning fans don't agree |

To be fair, look at the Leafs roster and look at the Bruins roster. He was taking on the world. The Leafs's defense isn't exactly laden with all-stars. |

Plenty of rumors indicate that the Stars got rid of him because of locker room issues. I'd stay away, personally. His partying ways have been well documented. On a young team, I'm not sure that's the influence you want. He apparently cleaned up his act in Washington, but his reputation precedes him. |

Alex pietrangelo offer sheet anyone - bradstar
If the team wants Pietrangelo, they'll go after him via trade not OS. OS burn bridges and rarely work out. |

Pietrangelo will need an offer sheet of like 7 years at 8million, and even then Blues might match |

He's opposition to me now, break him (which shouldn't be hard considering his history). |

Yup. An offer sheet would be an ill-advised move, IMO. |

He's good, but NOT worth that. We have other options we can explore anyways. |

When making an offer-sheet it's never about what the player's worth; it's about what the other team won't match. To get Pietrangelo via offer-sheet, the Bolts would have to go ridiculously high. It's not worth the loss of draft picks. It's not worth the money. Like I said, if the team wants him (and I think he'd be a fantastic fit) a trade is the way to go. I still don't see it happening though. |

The only way the offer sheet can work in your advantage is by doing so to a team in your conference. That way they either get stuck with a bad contract or you take away one of their great assets. And rarely do you trade within division so burning bridges is not such an issue. |

The optics of it still aren't great, but I generally agree with your point here.

Yeah still would get stuck with a bad contract in the long term. Im really against offer sheet. I think they should do away with them altogether. |
