yeah, that's not a salary dump. you don't unload the second overall pick 3 years ago who has shown flashes of brilliance to save a buck fifty on a $64 million cap.

It's a hockey trade that saves them money and allows them to sign Rask and maybe a few others. They only have 5 mil or something in cap space with him unsigned. Julien seems to be a (frank) face when it comes to young skilled players.

Too expensive is my guess.

Same with Clarksson.

Montreal won't be very active anyway.

They don't have the team to make a splash this year anyway.

my point is that the money they are saving is not worth giving up a player of Seguin's age/talent/pedigree. they want him gone. if they thought he was going to turn into a mature, consistent 80-point centre, they would find another way to save that small sum. like trade Rich Peverley for a sack of piss

Maybe sign Jagr to a one year deal, just to trade him at the deadline like Dallas did.

With the playoffs he had...don't think it'll work twice. Could do it with Brière though...

Yeah, Gallagher and Galchenyuk sucked this season. Same with Eller.

And that one time the Pens made it to the Cup Finale...

Thought he could've given more ice time to Galchenyuk...kid didn't deserve those 8-9mins TOI games.

Specially during games when he looked like one of the best players on the team.

He'll play a lot more next season.

I'm not worried.

don't forget how badly Subban and Emelin regressed under his coaching.

I think that's my biggest concern with Therrien moving forward. He seemed to get into a comfort zone near the end of the season where he was coaching off past performances instead of what was happening on a given night.

Could've played Markov less and Subban more.
