Philly can't possibly be going with Mason as their number 1 next year....can they?

Tim Thomas will back him up and be the #1 by december.

There were whispers of the Flyers trading for Jaroslav Halak.

and the cycle continues.
Nobody thinks Emery's hip can hold up as a number 1. And Thomas was never really all that fit to begin with....what kind of shape is he going to be in after not playing for 18 months?

Well if anything, his fat blobby self will cover more space in front of the net when he flops around like a trout out of water.

If you think I'm in good enough shape to play net for the Flyers you are wrong.

Buyout Crosby and Malkin,

Resign them for 1/3 of their current contract for same lenght

they get the exact same money overall,
pittsburgh gets rid of over 8 million$ a year of cap hit.

Why hasnt a team done this yet ?

Because they can't be resigned by the same team for one year.

I suppose EE10 bullets will have to do in lieu of questions

On Holmgren: Yeah, this guy is a pretty sly. He somehow manages to keep the prospects stocked too by continually trading off his assets (signed in UFA or ones he's developed) once he's gotten a few valuable years of their prime. Its just a continuous cycle.

Cooke or Clowe would be a good addition to the Habs, I truly think. I would add both to the Leafs roster. Cooke, well, maybe not so much anymore now that we have Bolland.

Lecavalier signed with the Flyers because the Flyers offered a better contract.
