Still think Nabokov would be the best choice at this point.

Only other goalie I can see making a trade for is Hiller.

Will see what happens.

I think Kronwall, Edler, or JBo might be more of the type we want.

I brought up his name awhile ago
I like him, but I think we should trade Coburn, Read, and picks for an older #1 or #2 dman. This would bridge the gap between now and when our D prospects are NHL ready. I think we just need an effective #1 dman for 5 or 6 years, not a decade + like you might get from selling the farm for young guns like Gardiner or Yandle. After 5 or 6 years our youth should be producing in the NHL.

- JAKEw1234

I like the way you think, considering it probably would involve a couts or a schenn to land Gardiner. Which older 1 or 2 d-men do u have in mind ?

Assuming that most players don't resign, the free agent defenseman available next year in 2014 isn't bad. Some quality players out there.

No, but there is a few I'd be interested in. Hjalmarsson and Seidendberg.

Most top defenseman get locked up these days anyway. Especially with the suspected cap rising as much as many believe.

I think we may see some buyouts like Franzen and Hossa though.

If edmonton is serious about signing Bryz, and getting Coburn, Do you think they would trade Dubnyak for Coburn?

No one like Suter, but certainly a lot of nice names. I wonder how many actually make it to free agency.

No ones really mentioned this, but if Timonen decides not to retire, it might be hard to re-sign him at this point.

Flyers better get more than Dubny in that deal, his cap hit isnt worth his play.

I think the Flyers would be wise to move on. Great guy and an outstanding player but not sure he is going to be worth that cap hit anymore.

Assuming this isn't sarcasm, that wouldn't be a good deal. But at least you don't have Couturier going in the deal.

With the acquisition of Streit, you may be right. It would be sad seeing him finish his career in another uniform. I hope they limit his heavy minutes early on. I would rather see Schenn, Grossmann and Coburn (if still with the team) take the tough minutes against top lines and defensive zone draws.

Another option could be him coming to the team mid-season. Like Forsberg tried to do with the Avs late in his career.

Doesn't gagne have to be on the team to wear an A. I think you should replace Gagne with Talbot.

For 41 pages many have stated that they want the flyers to re-sign, even made lines assuming how he and others would fit in. Suddenly I offer him and "A" and now that's a ridiculous detail?
