BTW, I think I should point out, that the most important battle on US soil ended today 150 years ago in Gettysburg.

A moment to remember the largest battle ever on US soil.

Picketts charge was just winding down at this time 150 years ago, surreal.

Both of those guys are top line wingers. I catch your drift.
- jak521

Eh not Chris Stewart for me. I don't consider Simmer to be a top line winger and he's better than Stewart.

Thats what I'm saying.

Side note question.... Are hockey teams subject to affirmative action? Like do they have to draft at least 1 minority per draft?

The guy that amazes me being undrafted is Zach O'Brien. I can see the soft knock but in todays NHL, being undersized doesn't matter so much. This kid deserves a try out with some club

One of my favorite Quantum Leap episodes is when Sam leaped outside his lifetime into his great-grandfather who was a wounded Yankee soldure in the south. He had to set his great-grandfather up with his great-grandmother

Several years ago, I walked across that field just as the South did against Gen. Meade's troops.

My first thought was "what the hell were they thinking?"

Sounds like he has a team if he's played for the St. John's Icecaps in the AHL.

If you are ever there it is awe-inspiring. I once ran up little round top as the south did several times... I couldn't imagine... They were real men.

I never understood why right handed people shoot with the stick on the left side. To me it always left more natural to shoot on the right side. But then again I started off life as a golfer, so it was natural for me.

Duvall wasn't in Gettysburg, he was in the prequel, Gods and Generals. Martin Sheen played Lee in Gettysburg

The book by Michael Shaara is also fantastic The Killer Angels

1) either Coburn for Dubynak

2) Miller and Vanek for.... something...

3) Couturier, Coburn for Phaneuf.

- youarewrong

If the FLyers trade Couturier and Coburn for Phaneuf, I'll be calling for Holmgren's head.

They were nuts! It definitely took some kind of courage to try and take that hill.

I did the Gettysburg tour with a guide. Walked around Little Round Top, Devil's Den, the Wheatfield, the Peach Orchard...

You're right. It was awe inspiring.

That wouldn't be a smart trade for the Flyers.

The goalie situation needs to be addressed.
