Way to act like Clouts, boys.
Feaster says Gio isnt going anywhere. You know, because we expect to win. Flipping the ship isnt the way to go. Have some shame. Next year's top 10 isnt even supposed to be that good. - fry

I don' think owner ship is willing to eat any salary. If they were we would have gotten a better return on Bouwmeester. |

Rebuilding doesn't have to involve bombing for picks. It's just your team's awful strategy. So far, they've been the league's worst team twice and second worst team once. Aren't you proud.
Teubert and Plante. Nice talent evaluation brah. Enjoy Nurse. |

I wont go over all the factors that make you wrong about the strategy.
Plante and Teubert...yeah, I totally pumped their tires and referenced them. Totally. Im probably just jealous of future superstars Jankowski and Porier. Total mad genius.

Good analysis other than the bolded. Savard LTIR adds about $4M in space and its pretty widely accepted that the cap will likely increase substantially for 14/15
Edit: Rumour has it B's were pushing hard to draft Lindholm who they might have been targetting with that #6 pick. I'd suspect they'll want Baertschi in any deal now as they need some talent on the wing in the pipes. - Double_A
Not so sure on the Salary Cap increase. I suspect it will increase but I doubt it will be "substantially". Pretty sure they didn't go through the whole lock out to mess it up as quickly as 1 year later.
With the current cap space that the Bruins have (5.15 Millions) and the Savard contract (4.03 Million) that has them with in theory 9.18 million in space. So even say that the cap goes up 5 million, giving them just over 14 million to work with. Between Rask and Bergeron they are looking at 12 to 13 million in those two players alone. And that doesn't account for any other UFA's or RFA's for after next season, or that there currently isn't a back up goalie.
Either way the Bruins are up against the cap, and Seguin seems to have become the expendable piece to relieve that pressure. I am in no way doubting his talent, but there are other priority details that come in possibly dealing him away. |

This fellow beleives Poirier is a flop. He knows more about him than our scouts yet doesn't know how to spell his name properly. Remarkable.
Mac-T should get this guy into the fold. Such a good scout. |

I bet BOS would love to get a solid contract like GlenX.
GlenX, Gaudreau and a 2nd for Seguin. |

Jacobs has said in the media the expectation is that the cap will be back to approx $70M following next year.
PB37 is already on the books for $5M, so you're looking at probably an extra $1.5M above where they currently are plus Tuukka. They certainly need to be conscious of it, but it's not all that dire. Look for a guy like Peverley to be shipped out. |
