After seeing all of this ridiculous money getting doled out for goalies, I think that I'm seeing another angle to the Bowman philosophy of low wage, serviceable goaltending; the team will be more committed to defense when the goalie is considered just a cog in the machine rather than the star who is supposed to earn those big bucks by stealing every 2nd or 3rd game for his team. Just a thought.

If you understood team chemistry you wouldn't be saying what you're saying. Even in men's rec hockey as a 50 year old, if a teammate is getting roughed up you show up and put a stop to it. I guess I could be like TG and find out if my teammate is OK first?

Oh...Crawford will be on the list, perhaps at the top. As long as he's a Hawk, and regardless of the awards, accomplishments and cups won, some guys will always want that "other guy" who's obviously better.
