How much tread is left on the Rozival tire?

That's my only concern. One more year? Ok, but if he want a multi-year deal...not so sure.

- Ogilthorpe2

agreed - but if they played him 60 or so games during the season, that should help? Only they know his real condition at the end of this past year....time will tell

I'll take Rozsival and Hendricks for $200, Alex.
- MartiniMan

We bought some furniture at Rozsival and Hendricks - not bad quality.

Luongo's problem is his head. Strong in the regular season but chokes when the pressure is on.
- GoHawks63

I can't be sure the same doesn't happen with Schneider. I think the team was more overrated than Luongo.

For those of us that can't deal with the lousy baseball teams here in Chi-town - CSNchicago is going to replay almost all of the Hawks games in the playoff run to the Cup...get your DVRs ready.

I went to the Cubs game in Oakland last night. Need to schedule a tetanus shot for today after sitting in that cesspool all night.

Would expect announcements on Emery and Leddy soon. A bargain-basement vet signing or two in UFA. Viktor Stalberg will become a wealthy man in another city.
- John Jaeckel

What does "soon" mean re Emory and Leddy? Some indications yesterday of activity on Emory, so soon feels like 24 hours there. But Leddy has been talked about as far apart, and not near a resolution. Does your inclusion of him w Emory indicate recent movement there?

Bruins and Bergeron are close but still not done. Once it is, I'd expect the deal to be 8 yrs and between $52 M and $54 M.

wow, that's a steal for B's... hoping for something close to that with toews and kane... not likely

I have a gut feeling that Leddy was benched during the finals in part to keep his value down. Or is that too conspiratorial?
- sgt1480

Yes, that's too conspiratorial (but I like the word)!

For a team that won't make it out of the first round of the playoffs to think forward to next year...maybe, though still unlikely. But for a team aspiring to win a Cup THIS year to leave some talent on the bench to save a few $$ in the future? No.

Just asking , why does everyone think that Rozival might not have much left in the tank ? He's only 34 , does he have a history with injuries . I think he needs to be resigned .

If Toews and Kane want to have more opportunities to win the cup then they take a slightly lower salary so the Hawks can afford a solid supporting cast. If they wish to be more wealthy than god then they max out their salary and kiss potential championships good-bye, kind of like Crosby, Malkin and Letang who combined have about 40% of their team's cap.

What about a signing trifecta of Rozy, Hendricks and Matt Cooke?

Just incredible what Shero is doing - Crosby, Malkin, Letang, Benn, Fleury, Martin and now Dupuis. And 16 guys making minimum wage. Somebody is going away there, has to be.

Definitely wouldn't mind Cookie on the Hawks. Pretty consistent 30 pointer which would be awesome, especially if he can continue keeping his emotions in check.

Imagine him and Shaw on the same line.

On SiriusXM, they refer to this method of building teams as the Chicago model.

Funny how that works....The Detroit model transformed itself into the Chicago model.

I'd think it would be something more like $8M, 8 years, $64M total.

The Hawks team is built on discipline. Not only does Cook have none he also has the Refs watching him like a Hawk (no pun intended). We don't need a sideshow, we need guys who play, play hard and don't hurt the team with dumb foolish penalties.

Marcus Kruger doesn't have the upper body structure to support a muscular topside. If you take a look at him then you realize pretty quickly that he's not broad shouldered, broad chested, nor does he have bit mits or wrists. These things are telling signs of weather an athlete will "fill in" with age.

I still love this guy though. Keep him around to play wing.

Exactly, all the skaters benefited from no accountability because everyone blamed Luongo for everything bad. Lou this and that, meanwhile, Sedins, no points in finals a few years back. No scoring etc....

He's had knee issues. Multiple surgeries I believe.

That doesn't preclude him ftom putting on at least 10 pounds on a bodybuilding routine and eating 6 high protein (small) meals per day. A pain in the butt, but part of his job if it's needed.

Cooke is a douche...but he might have been the Pens' best player vs Boston. I'd take a flyer on him.

Carcillo hasnt proven he can change his reckless play. Cooke has. And he would be the grit and expierience on the bottom 6 that would be good for our team. We may have been able to play majority run and gun and have success in the lockout shortened year, but in an 82 game season you need guys that are going to chip and forecheck causing trouble for opposition d-men. JJ said their have been inquiries about carbomb, so move him and pick up cooke to complete the Saad and Shaw third line.

He is a DB from Belleville. Probably pals with Andrew Shaw.
