There is a much better chance that Stanbow signs you or me than Ribeiro, who is looking for a 5 year deal. No thanks with that guy.
Other than maybe one outside UFA that is willing to play cheap to wear the Blackhawk sweater for a year or 2 max, don't look for much in the way of high profile names. The team is going to fill from within with youth for the most part. - RickJ
On SiriusXM, they refer to this method of building teams as the Chicago model. |

Would you rather have Roszival and Hendricks or Briere? - Kentxo
I'll take Rozsival and Hendricks for $200, Alex. |
|
|
|
Briere would be nice, but I really found Rozy instrumental to our defensive success last year.
Remember O'donell, Lepisto, Campoli, Montador, etc? We don't want to go back to that. |

Reminds me of the tryouts scene in Youngblood when they say they are only looking to fill one roster spot and the coach says "yeah like that sorry bum that tripped over the blueline?" - ikeane
One of my favorite character actors...Ed Lauter, who was excellent in Youngblood BTW

Rozy and Hendricks. I'm willing to give Pirri a shot. I've always called him a 4A player until I just realized he's only 21! And just lead the AHL in scoring. Sure he is a prospect until proven otherwise but I'm willing to give this kid a shot playing in between two elite wingers. |

I'd love to have Rosival back. If I remember right didn't Hossa recruit hin to the Hawks ? Him and Hoss could finish their career together and Hendricks would be great 4th liner.

I have said this earlier. Look how much Saad grew as a player being on the ice with Hossa. That is something we as fans maybe overlook, the coaching that goes on by the players themselves. Let the kid learn from some of the best players. He will have 5 guys that will have his back at times. I see it as a win/win.
If he proves he can't handle it, then you move on. |

This would be fantastic. But unlikely I believe. If Carcillo or Brookbank could have been moved I think the draft would have been the time to di so even for late round pick. |

I would be careful about Briere, he was pretty banged up at the end of last season. Nice player but lots of miles on his tires. |

And he is more of a winger now than a true center. He would be good on the PP and he's a solid, veteran leader. |

Seems to me everyone projects Danault's ceiling to be as a third line center/penalty killer. IMO we can't yet know what Danault's ceiling is or will be, he's still growing and just about to start his pro career. He was an elite playmaker in the QMJHL, surround him with the right players and he will light up the score sheet. Who is to say Danault doesn't end up playing on the second line in the next couple of years? - Ballam
Personally, I think he can be a 2C in the NHL. Sort of like Bolland in that you can play him anywhere on lines 2-4. But he does a few things that point toward higher offensive potential:
1) + speed (not a blazer but a guy who will have better than average speed in the NHL)
2) passing, when the puck hits his blade it is often coming out fast and his linemates need to have their sticks on the ice.
3) faceoffs, was very good at least at the junior level
4) makes plays at high speed and makes his linemates better

I can't imagine ANY team being willing to pay Brookbank $1.25M. |

I CANNOT STAND Dany Heatley. I wish he would've dropped the mitts and gone toe to toe w/Bollig. |

How much tread is left on the Rozival tire?
That's my only concern. One more year? Ok, but if he want a multi-year deal...not so sure. |
