Gillis lost all his leverage when the new CBA came. He didn't have much to begin with, but the new CBA really sunk him.

no sure about that but the mystery to me was he had pretty good lateral quickness for closing on guys but if he was caught at the other teams blue line it seeme to take him forever to get back

I actually like the way Luongo has carried himself throughout this whole situation.....but I would also appreciate it if he told Gillis to go scratch and he wants a trade

Agree on this...Olsen looks fairly mobile side to side and skating backwards...but his burst going forward or in recovery is a big question mark.

Schneider's an OVERRATED bum....might be a band aid solution for a strong, defense oriented Devils team...but didn't he just get SWEPT ?

You can make a strong argument based on Luongo's career stats being the same in the playoffs than regular season that his choking is a media myth. Luongo had a bad playoff run one year. The other "bad year" was when he only appeared in two games. His other years have been very good. All it takes is one bad game and people tag you. Look at Crawford and his "horrible glove side" and "he can't catch". Crawford even won that game and I'm sure there will always be people who will think his glove hand sucks.

BTW, contracts aside, I'd rather have Luongo as my goalie than Crawford.

I agree. I don't think you can have more pressure than playing goal for Canada IN Canada in the olympics and he came up big. I know that team was stacked, that is why there was so much pressure. He came 1 win away from being a Cup champ in 2011. He had 1 bad game in that series. In 2009 and 2010 he had to face one of the best offensive teams. The Hawks would make any goalie look bad. No shame in losing to the Hawks those years
