23 yo, 6'3 210lbs, avg more than 2 hits a game, right handed shot, big AHL numbers before his callup, and was a WHL beast. A couple games there around 24 minutes a night. If the Leafs add a physical d-man, I don't want a 30 year old, I want a guy who can grow with the team.

for sure, could be a lot more though if they decide they need to buyout other contracts next summer, and realize they wasted a compliance buyout on komisarek when his buyout would have only been 2 years of cap hit. could have left him with the marlies this year, taken a 2.6 mil cap hit for it, been done with komi next june and walked away with two compliance buyouts.

i can't see them needing the compliance.. but say next summer liles and grabovski need to be bought out. one of those is going to be a nasty contract to deal with, when a cheaper buyout like komi could have been dealt with better ways than burning a compliance on him.

odds are they won't need both.. but who knows.

Take a look at Stralman with the Leafs during a 5 game stretch when he came up, it means nothing, the league is littered with them, you can also find some in the AHL. Nothing special, imo.

Can they still find a home for him though? Does he have to be drafted in the import draft to be ignoble for the OHL, or can the leafs find a team on their own willin to take him?
