Giroux, Vinny, Schenn (who looks like he's going to be a 3rd line centre now) and Couterier. That's pretty darned strong up the middle.

Yes, their defence will still be suspect. And their goaltending is still a question mark. But they've always done better with a young no-name goalie than a flashy vet.

And the sad thing is, we aren't competing with them for a playoff spot anymore.

I'd love to take their centres. Any of them. All of them infact. I think that we have better wingers however (though Voracek is a beaut!).

I'm going to make the bold prediction that Bozak is left swinging in the wind for a while.

The NHL is still very much an old boys' club - they don't take to kindly to a less than stellar player demanding an 8 year deal.

It screams bad attitude and sense of entitlement.
