Holmgren buys out Briere and Bryz, turns around and signs Streit and Lecavalier....this guy is nuts. I could only imagine this guys house, he probably has the most random crap in it, seems to have a compulsive buying problem. He fixes a problem, only to turn around and buy another obvious problem 2 years from now.

Perfect then I am all for it... Hopefully we can trade Grabo for a 2nd and sign bozak or use assets from Grabo trade for a stasny trade

JML is worth something not too shabby. At the very least, possibly good depth or a decent pick.

You're focusing on the wrong things...The Vinny signing frees up the team to trade one of Coots or B.Schenn for a top young dman who will lead our team for the next 10+ seasons...

From what I heard on TSN, the owner gets heavily involved in some decisions, specifically mentioned by Pierre Maguire was the signing of Bryz. How else would a GM survive that kind of buyout? A rich owner pulling the strings - pretty funny actually.

I don't doubt it, the guy is constantly changing the landscape of the team, he never allows for a team to build chemistry.

Can also use the reverse..... We dont use it this year on Komi and eat cap space and it cost us a player we wanted this summer. Saving it for Liles and Grabo next year and they both rebound.
