Bozak's representatives have put a contract proposal on the table believed to be a length of eight years averaging less than $5 million per season.

I seriously hope Nonis just laughed and hung up.

Stay away from Venice, not worth it, Naples is the place to go, nicest part and friendliest part of Italy. Tuscany is very, very expensive but if you have the time and money to spend, it is a nice visit.

Positano on the Amalfi coast is beautiful and Rome rocks. Do the mafia still run Naples?

Just adding to your comment! Went to Rome as part of our honeymoon last year. I haven't looked at food back home the same ever since. I now know why north americans are so fat and why the europeans are so skinny! Fresh food to die for!

Sorry to interupt!

@mirtle. Keep in mind, the proposal on the table wasn't made by the team. I believe response from Newport.

For the record, I like Bolland, I just don't understand where Nonis is going if he's not looking to buyout Grabo, or make an attempt to trade him. I'm for Bolland being on the team if the Leafs trade Grabo, but if we plan on keeping Grabo, I'm not, just doesn't make much sense as of now.

????
Kadri
Bolland
McClement

That should be the lineup, with us looking to add to our 1st line, but if Grabo's on the team, I'm confused, where's Kadri playing? Where's Grabo playing? Kadri should be holding down the 2nd line, not ready for the 1st, and Grabo isn't a 1st line centerman...So who plays 1st line?

8 years of Bozak sounds like the result of breaking a mirror to a superstitious person....Or herpes.

The influence of Grabbos contract matched with his offensive numbers last year. They are trying to win this negotiation with reason...those bastards!

Stoopid Grabbo slump.

Have to disagree. Spent 5 great days in Venice last Sept. Liked it a lot more than Naples.
- D.Lemieux

It is overrated, meh, to each his own, been to Italy (birth country of both my parents) about 12 times and in and around Naples is the best place I have visited (5 times), the food blows any other place out of the water. But what would I know, right? haha.

Not saying a agree but if I had to guess right now Kadri is 1C next year.

kadri should be playing first line. Give Grabs one more year to show he's not completely useless. Bolland/McClement as 3/4C. Colborne waiting in the wings.

Ah, I see Colin, Amalfi coast is south of Naples, so I guess you got to see Pompei and the volcano? We wanted to go to Naples but we spent too much time in Rome.
- mykokes

Yeah, the Amalfi Coast is where you need to go. We were in Positano which was very nice. There are tons of villas you can rent rather than doing a hotel. We had two villas, each with their own kitchen and 8 bedrooms total.

Seriously, it doesn't, apart from the salary part, we don't even know where to pencil guys in anymore, we have centers playing LW RW, talks of buying people out....

If we aren't able to get a 1C, I'm all for giving Kadri the shot. Don't see why not. JVR/Kadri/Kessel. You got the big body (JVR), you got the hands & the play maker (Kadri), and you got the sniper & finisher (Kessel). Then on the 2nd line: Lupul/Grabovski/Clarkson.

Well I can't make sense of it, hope he has a solution for our #1 center up his sleeve, and I hope it's not Bozak at 8 years.
- ThePresident

kadri or bolland will be my guess.. potentially grabo

depends on who the other winger is.. prolly wont see grabo and jvr on the same line.. both are guys who like going to the net (well JVR is now)

wouldnt be shocked to see kadri in that role if his linemates are JVR and kessel

if its lupul instead of JVR, then grabo

if the rumours about clarkson are true this is how I see things shaking out

That's not what his numbers really show. He's performed poorly even when playing with skilled wingers.

59 57 73 130 in 05-06 is poorly? + 104 PIM

The Gomez deal, at first, wasn't terrible as Gomez was still somewhat productive and the habs made it to the conference finale by beating the Pens and Caps. The year after that, though... urgh.

Regarding Schneider, am I the only one under the impression that Tortorella told Gillis "I wanna keep Luongo"?

- Pecafan Fan

I doubt that is the case.
Gillis was screwed and he knew it. He had no choice, he had no options with Lou.

Thinking Mcclement will take macs spot on the wing with bolland. And Center the first pk unit. Rc used him as a winger on the third line a good portion of last year. And it's a second draw man on the ice against the other teams top line.
