Can you imagine Briere as the 2C in front of Fleury? - BulliesPhan87
Thoughts on Samuel Morin? I had a hearty laugh I must admit. |

We were the only ones on the course it was raining so bad.
But i started Birdie, Par, Par so i wanted to play. Even so we could only get through 9 because it was just to wet and windy.
Supposed to be 28c on Thursday when I go though.
It's hotter than a poophouse rat in a wool sock here right now. - canadianpenfan
You should really play from the men's tees next time.
Good to see you back. Hope things are improving there.

Doesnt Dupuis have like 7 kids? I think he would be wise to cash out and leave Pitt. |

Having seen some of the video, I'm willing to entertain it. It does remind me of the Laughton pick last year, lots of 'WTFs' on the social media. Not so hot on the third round pick though, pretty early to take another tough guy. |

See I am opposite, start bad and begin to get better once the beer starts to flow. . . . I think I get better would probably be more of an accurate way of describing it. - kgrpitt
I get much worse when the beers start to add up, much, much worse. Sometimes to the point that only the medicine of gods green earth can be rolled up to save me. I'm no scientist but they must cancel each other out or something. |

People said the same thing about him when he first arrived and it couldnt have been further from the truth. - Ryan_Wilson
When he first arrived I thought I was seeing a very interested player that would body check hard and was trying to get out of a slump. He was very very good, effort wise, even though he didn't score much. Loved the guy for that. With Geno he was spectacular in his first year playing together...this season he took a step back...JMO... |

Morin's ceiling is shutdown Dman. With his size he could be very good in that role. But unless it's a sure thing you don't draft a player of his ilk in the first round, certainly not at #11. |

hahaha I am and yes it does cancel. Also prevents hangovers. That one I can't explain.
If we got Scuds I would be pumped. I haven't seen him play a lot and not sure how much he has lost since he was with us but seems to be very serviceable the little I have seen. |

BTW Ryan I wanted to say you are doing an excellent job writing the blogs.
I don't always stop in here, but I do read all of them and you are doing great work. Hope you have the time to continue with it. |

The advantages are endless.
Scuds still gets the job done. I would be against anything over 2 years which is probably not what he's looking for. |

He seemed to get some attention closer to the draft. Some seem to think his offensive game could develop, I don't think he becomes a true two way defenseman though. I like the way he seperates players from the puck. I thought his skating and shot looked good enough to build on. He didn't pile on the points in the regular season, but he did have seven points in six playoffs games. It was a bit of a reach, but not as much as it seems at first. We'll see, I don't know these junior players as well as other fans, let alone scouts.
The 2nd pick, Hagg (or is it Haag?), was a steal apparently, so there's that. |

I think Scuds would help this team in the short term. However I just keep thinking in my mind why keep log jamming the defense when you have spent numerous high draft picks in that area. Scuds comes to town and now you are moving Despres to the 3rd pairing and Bortuzzo will most likely be scratched. Not to mention if we lose Cooke and Duper we need to spend some money replacing them and TK as well. |

I think it's too early to say for certain, but the reach could hurt in the end. I certainly don't expect to see Morin sniff the big club for a few years. Although maybe I should, knowing how the Flyers rush things. |
