I called it. He gets Kunitz type money |

Pens now have around 4 mil to throw around. I'd like to dump nisk, open up some more space and try to grab someone like stalberg and resign cookie. |

Of course he does...he has no leverage when he knows he wouldn't be able to do anything without Crosby and Malkin. |

You have to dump Nisky now. You need to free up some space. Cooke for 1.2; Adams for 750K wouldn't be a bad sign. Throw some cash at Scuds. Now tat Dupes is back, no need for Stahlberg. I don't see him as a fit on the third line. |

Adams should be an easy extension. We won't give him more than 2 years, pretty much minimum value to 700. Loved the Duper extension!I was hoping for 3.5 max but he's worth it Please get Cookie Monster signed fast |

UMMM ... have you seen his numbers without Sid playing? I'm pretty positive you haven't. Philly fans shouldn't talk about anything they have no clue about. |

Kind of like how Giroux couldn't do anything without Jagr and Hartnell. |

You do realize he had a career year in 11-12 when Sid played what 20 games and Malkin played with Neal and Kunitz all year? Right? You know that's a thing that happened don't you? Because I don't know how you go from career year without playing with either guy to not being able to do anything without them. Seemed to be a disconnect somewhere. |

are you (frank)ing kidding me!!!!!!!!!! 3.75 for 4yrs for dupes... WTF that is way too much (frank)ing money.. that is (frank)ing ridiculous! let him (frank)ing walk.. glorified 3rd liner fill in top 6 BS!! (frank) this.. I hope this comes to bite RS in the ass!! what does he have a ntc or nmc too...
(frank) this migh as well trade Bennett... no way he will ever play with sid... and he doesn't fit with malkin.. but no cant break up a line that was so awesome in regulare season and did poop in playoff when they needed too.... we need younger guys in top 6 not older guys!!! (frank)ing BS.... |

Makes no sense when you can get a guy a lot cheaper to put up the same production that Dupuis does ...44 mill for 9 players ...Shero GM of the year. |

He's just jealous they had to pay $4.5M for 5 years with a full NMC for a less effective player at this point in his carreer. Duper just bought himself a carreer with the Penguins organization after he retires |

60 points 2 years ago without Sid. Even better pace over 48 last year. Those aren't 3rd line numbers. And don't be surprised to see Kunitz back with malkin and Neal at camp with Bennett up on Sids wing with dupuis. And beyond Bennett there's not a bunch of guys in Scranton ready to hop into the top 6. - schiefer466
ya that's why they needed to trade or draft winger prospects... ever station on the radio, every media outlet talks how the pens have no offenseive depth to fill in needed holes yet they sign guys to these contracts or draft D or centers.. its (frank)ing ridiculous... im glad pens have depth at D but DB wont play the rookies and the older guys are taking up space... |

48 points in 48 games? |
|
|
|
Bennett-Crosby-Dupuis
Kunitz-Malkin-Neal
that'd be my top 6. I know bylsma will switch Bennett and kunitz, but I think Bennett would be a lot better with Crosby than malkin.
right now, Sutter is our only real bottom 6 guy... |

What 60 point winger who kills penalties and scores 20+ even strength goals and super high +/- is out there this summer and will get a lot less than 3.75?
You realize your team just gave 4.5 per for 5 years to a similarly aged lecavalier who hasn't topped 50 points since 09-10? A vinny who was still a minus player the year the bolts went to the ECF. Also. Your team just bought out 2 guys for about 10 mil in cap savigs and is still over the cap with Steve Mason as the only NHL caliber goalie. And I use that term very loosely. That Holmgren is really a genius. Best of luck with that. |
