Its not a terrible price. The problem is Phillys cap situation is already a joke and it comes with a NMC. That wont end well for them. |

How could it go up vinny is a better talent than dupuis and the rumors are dupuis was asking for 5. Everyone knows dupuis value is anywhere between 3.5-4.5. - Genev21
3.5 is the magical number to get it done.
On a side note: I hope Geno keeps F'N up with Lecavalier's head and beat him every time they play. Philly sucks! |

He has 1 year left. They are supposedly talking now - cap1681
Well they are going to lose one of giroux, schenn, read, or couturier. They just don't have cap space they are still over the cap for this season. Read is most likely to leave being the only UFA. |

Vinny 10 goals (5 on the PP), Duper 20 (2 on the PP). Hardly any PP time, solid 2 way player, excellent PK guy. At this stage of their careers Duper is the more productive player.

Vinny has far more skill, you pay for skill. Dupuis gives more effort which isn't a knock on vinny it's just that dupuis never stops. Also Vinny has struggled with injuries recently and if he stays healthy he's dangerous. |

No question about that....but Lecavalier is the "sexiest option" of the two in the eyes of the league, Lecavalier is better... |

He came pretty cheap IMO...good signing for Philly. $4.5M per is not that bad for a top 6 forward/center.
- Orpik44
He fills the 2nd line center hole for Philly nicely. But he does nothing to help the disaster of the blueline and goalie situation. |

$3.5 for Duper would be a steal.
Philly is garbage, don't see how this helps them that much. He will center Simmonds and ????. Now over the cap even after the Bryz buyout.
I have more consistency in my NHL 13 lineup than the flyers do. |

Steve mason looked good in those 8 games I think it was. Wouldn't trust him at all as a goalie their defense I just don't understand how they have so much money tied up back there and suck so bad.... no I do their idiot GM. |

and briere buyout who had a larger cap number than bryz. They bout out over 11 mil of cap space and are still over. |

Yep, Iggy was a sexy option too. The Philly Pittsburgh games should be as fun as ever as neither team is really addressing their shortcomings thus far. Man hockey is the best, its even intense during the offseason!! |

Bahaha, I love the no movement clause for vinny in Philly. Now they are back to where they started...no money for a goalie or defenseman |

Another question to pose, and I'm not saying I'd do it, just thinking out loud. The Flyers might be shopping Talbot now that they have an abundance of Cs. Would you take him back in a Pens sweater. Cheap option for the 3rd or 4th line, can kill penalties..... |

Who's going to be their backup goalie? Boucher? The funny thing is they would need to clear cap space to have him be a backup |

Never make a deal with the flyers EVER. And to show how important teams view trading inside the division (not to mention big time rivals) look at what the Canucks asked from Edmonton for Schneider and look at what they traded him to NJ for. |

hahaha. So happy that the curse is now broken. I had no idea that Fruit Bat's ties to T-Swift were what was holding us back from lifting the cup again. 2014 Stanley Cup Champions, here we come! - kill.monsters

yeah, but if you can get him for a 4th round pick, you'd have to consider it. |

Talbot wasn't real good for Philly last year after having a real nice season the previous. If they take Ass, it would be tempting. I still really like Talbot. Love his leadership. |

Philly has some real interesting decisions to make next year.... Giroux, Schenn and the next Ron Francis all are RFA's. |

Yeah, it would be a salary dump for Philly. You could buy out Glass. Only 600k difference in salary. |

I thought Talbo's cap was $1.8M and GlASS' $1.1M.
