"HAve we made a profit since 2003?" - councilwoman

"That is a number I dont have"

What? You dont know if you made a profit or not? Take the circus out of town.

This has been a solid team for the last couple of years, and whenever i saw a game it was still half empty and from the Fans that were in there about half of them were from the other team.

Send them to Seattle.

Yup, no need to move them. Bobby Ryan can be on their line in a few years without trading for him.

I think the Flyers are putting a lot of stock in Mason, which I have a strange/crazy feeling that I do too and he deserves it.
- GirouxForTheShow

i love all the experts, and by experts i mean anyone who has a comment, saying mason isn't the answer. we have no idea if he is or isn't. let's give the guy a (frank)ing chance for (frank)'s sake. we've had a different cup winning goalie every year since 1992 when barrasso won the 2nd of his back to backs. other than that, roy, brodeur, vernon, and osgood are the only multiple cup winners going back to 1990...meaning nobody's a cup winner until they're a cup winner. most of the time, a new guy is getting his name on it. now i'm not suggesting this team, and it's not fully reconstructed yet, is good enough to win it next year, but mason could very well turn out to be the (frank)ing answer in time. he's struggled after a calder campaign...not uncommon for young goalies, and columbus hasn't exactly been a great team in front of him.

i'm sick of this place....owww....i'm gonna' try out for the lakers. they need a good power forward.

think it'd be smart to look at trading Read now rather than later?

Looking into signing Jonathan Blum would be a good signing. Trading Coby, Mez, and Reader would be the ideal trade bait... I just cant see how any team would want to buy Mez because he has such little value, but Grossmann blocks so many shots for us. I cant see who they are gonna get rid of. But who do they get in return? Defensive prospects and draft picks? The possibilities are endless with these guys...

I could even see Hartsy even being used as trade bait with the way he performed this season.

Its the Vinny syndrome discussed earlier. This one guy creates many possibilities, and this was before the reasonable cap hit. They can do what they want, or do nothing, great flexibility. Just gotta get that goalie, and Im ok with Thomas.

You just brought up one of the few people in the NHL I would be interested in moving Couter for.

Would Myers and your 2014 #1 for Couturier and Meszaros interest the Sabres?

- dilbert719

No chance on the 2014 1st, and the reason I say no chance is not because it's not a good offer on your part. It's because the Sabres are in a rebuild and expected not to be very good next year. If anything, they are going to try and pick up additional 1st round picks in 2014 & 2015, not give them away as part of deals.

They would surely add a 2014 2nd, but if that is not enough, then more would need to be added on their part.

TK was never in their plans anyway once they signed Morrow and what not. He was mostly a healthy scratch for the rest of the season.
