Just out of curiosity, why?

high value still - might be the higher than it is next year if his offensive game doesnt show real signs of developing

i dont want to see it happen as i think he really will be a great shutdown center for a long time but i would be okay if they got good value.

I think a combo of coots, coby, read, and a pick can land a true #1 dman. Who that is I have no idea... But after the letang signing today maybe pietrangelo.

That said i'm all for dumping mezzy, getting a netminder, and rolling from there.

I don't know. He had the same high value previously. They've been reluctant to trade him. What's changed? Adding Lecavalier? Schenn can be moved to Wing.

To be blunt. St. Louis is not trading Pietrangelo. End of story.

Vinny is older and has been beat up quite a bit in his career. Homer would be an idiot to get rid of Cooter now considering he didn't give him away for Weber.

Whats changed is he had a down offensive year. If he has another, teams will be less likely to give a high return

Just so I understand this. You think they're going to trade Couturier because they're afraid his trade value is going to decrease, if he doesn't improve offensively? I think they'll trade Couturier for one reason. To add a top, true # defenseman.
