Missed the playoffs, sign an old scoring center when there's already two hot center prospects on the team, regret the signing later when production ceases to match salary, buy-out.

They want to win right now. Lecavalier means the window's open right now, because they're gonna make another move or two to make sure it's open.

They're not playing around. They aren't wired to do a rebuild.

They're just not wired that way. We all know that.

At face value, I like the deal. 4.5m/yr is a great number for someone like him. But Just have to wait and see what else happens to the roster because of the signing before I can really decide if I like the deal or not.
