lol @ Denis Gauthier. He did have a hell of a hit on Nedved. Smoked him on (sorta) national TV (OLN).
- jmatchett383

Wasn't it Straka? never forgot that hit, first shift of the game.

Flyers and Isles are at the top of that list
EDM has Dubnyk
Minny and Calgary are question marks too.

Ottawa might give us Anderson in a year or two when Lehner is the man.

- Marc D

Lehner looks ready. He was very good for Ottawa last year. I'm sure they want to keep both. They had a logjam at G, and turned their third goalie Bishop into a good young player in Conacher.

I don't like that plan, but there are worse options out there

That's because TB isn't exactly a hotbed of hockey knowledge. I mean, really? We want to use them as the measuring stick?

People here wanted six Dan McGillises when you need good first passes to move up ice. Six Denis Gauthiers or Derian Hatchers will make for a lot of good hit highlights -- and losses.

They aren't getting Vinny. And I don't think it's a bad thing if they don't.
- PLindbergh31

Im not seeing any reports about him leaning towards Dallas....From what has been reported its that Dallas in "in the mix". I have heard that many times for Flyers and they never get the player.

I'm ok not getting Lecavalier. I never thought it was realistic that they would.

One of the rumors I saw on twitter (it was on the internet, so it was TOTALLY true) had the Flyers possibly getting Dubnyk in a trade package that involved Coburn going the other way.

if we signed vinny and ultimately bought him out he would be getting two amnesty checks. not a bad retirement plan.
i wonder who will be the first player to be amnestied twice?

eta: doe sthe new cba allow for a player to be out morethan once??

How is it rushing him if he is ready and can play 12 minutes a night in the NHL?

Id rather not let him stagnate and develop bad habits by playing against 15&16&17 year olds in JRs

- jak521

I'm sorry, what classifies Scott Laughton as ready? MJL's word?

I will look no further the Claude Giroux. He played to emergency call up games. The following season didn't look good in camp. In fact he was "a lock" and Steve Downie played light years better. McGinn or Cousins could come in and simply be better.

Brayden Schenn also had his issues making the Kings line up a few times. I wouldn't exactly say his first camp here went smoothly. You could say it was a financial thing no more a play issue during preseason games but Couturier surprisingly found a home here over Schenn.

Couturier might be the only player who has come right out of camp in recent years but he could be lightning in a bottle himself.

Lebrun doesnt even have the Flyers on the list for Vinny. How can two people who say they are insiders have such differing opinions

Is this a joke? I can't sense the sarcasm if it is. The Flyers already used both compliance buyouts.

JvR wast at the next camp. He was the second pick overall behind Kane though.

Look, if Laughton comes into training camp and appears to be ready to play in the NHL, then he should play in the NHL. If he doesn't appear ready, then he should not play in the NHL. It's really that simple. If he appears to be able to help the Philadelphia Flyers become a better team this year than they'd be without him, he should be playing for them.

Im judging on what I have seen. I dont know why you always get so hostile lol. If you dont think he should play on the team this year... thats your opinion.... one in which I disagree. I think he should and will play. You say you cant compare him to Richards, then compare him to Giroux. My head hurts.
