Ok.. If you are comparing him to a 3rd/4th line guy like Talbot... what is so wrong with him playing on the 4th line?
- jak521

We already have a Max Talbot and a Sean Couturier on the roster.

Agreed. Best to keep Laughton off the roster until Talbot retires.

So if Laughton were to score in his first game of the season, does that mean you should keep him up?

Laughton playing in a physical defensive setting, with Rinaldo and McGrinn, will not at all set him back.

Hate to point out the obvious, but without Briere, 2010 playoffs does not happen. You need experience, and emerging youth to have sucess. You cant always keep every player, but if you want to compete you sometimes need to bring someone in

So adding Pronger, Giroux breaking out, Richie taking out Krejci, Leino/Leighton/Boucher playing out of their pay grades had nothing to do with that run? OK.

Tye McGinn.

I started calling him McGrinn when he got knuckled up against Brown and posted that picture of himself posing with the shiner.

Or we could rush Laughton when we really don't have to. How does Laughton develop his offense from the 4th line?

I think Danny had one of the shootout goals to get into the playoffs if I am not mistaken... other than that, I agree.

How is it rushing him if he is ready and can play 12 minutes a night in the NHL?

Id rather not let him stagnate and develop bad habits by playing against 15&16&17 year olds in JRs

Don't want Vinnie for more then 3 yrs.
Another long deal for a guy past his prime does not make any sense for this team.

I really don't want Thomas anywhere near this team.
Dipietro is cooked, no one should even bring him up as a viable option.
Looks like Emery is not an option now either.

I know it's water under the bridge but when Homer says they were not in on the Schneider deal, I have to ask, why the heck were they not?

The 11th pick plus the 3rd they apparently wasted (too early to say for sure, but no one argues that they used it wisely) for Schneider would have been a good deal for the Flyers. Who knows if Van would have taken it. I bet the guy they took at 9 would have been there at 11 too.

Now it looks like they have all their eggs in the let's hope Mason can rebound basket.

Maybe I am being worried for nothing, but I don't like the way the goalie situation is shaping up at all.

The first goal, actually. Can you name the lone Rangers scorer without looking it up?

30-points in the PO's is nothing to sneeze at, but it might also have been to the Flyers' advantage to have some cap room so they didn't have to go into that season w/ a reclamation Emery in net and a bottom-pairing of Parent/Krajicek.

Briere was one player, just like Vinny is one player -- it takes 20+ players to win a Cup.

Hockey's about 11 guys playing together, working toward a common goal.

I was there too. Prolific use of "the f word" during that shootout. I know Briere score, Richards got stopped, Giroux scored, and I remember Jokinen got stopped. I also remember Boosh falling down, and I remember that EK was a shooter and he almost always scored.
