Here's the good news for Islanders fans: there is no Tim Thomas this year, and we are like $13-15M under the cap floor. Unless anyone thinks that Hamonic and Bailey are going to get $8M per each, we HAVE TO acquire someone. There's no "we tried" BS this year- with Ricky gone, that simply isn't possible. They are going to have to acquire at least two players who Wang is going to HAVE TO pay actual dollars, and likely three, considering the likelihood of one of the true top end guys signing here as a UFA is probably nil (and should be- those guys are NEVER worth it...ahem....Brad Richards..). These next couple of weeks should be interesting, at the very least.

Yha Kosk, I could swear he was still ours but they said we let his rights go.. I couldn't find anything to the contrary, in fact I couldn't find anything on his status.

This past year he signed a two year extension with his Europe team. They still hold his rights 100%
