Strome hasn't played an NHL game in his life, he's 20 years old and people just want to hand him a spot on the top line? Come on. That reeks of desperation. It also increases the kid's chances of being overwhelmed, playing out of his natural position in such a prominent and important role.


Lets give Strome a chance to play in training camp and get some serious contenders for a top line RW spot before we annoint Strome the first line RW.

BTW i agree you don't put a prospective scorer on the 4th line and see how he does. You have to give him a chance to succeed.

Yeah, wasn't trying to ridicule you for sources believe me but I mix up what's really rumored with what 3 guys say on here on any given day all the time. I have said the same thing about Strome and got the same response on here. Some say because of the defensive demands of the position? Whatever, if that were the case there'd be no centers in the NHL, stupid. The kid is a center and whether people on here like it or not he may very well wind up being our 2nd line center? I for one wouldn't have a problem with it. If he's a winger I'm fine with that too but having Taveras, Strome, Nelson, Cizikas as our centers is a nice thought.

Yes I remember reading that also. But I also read Nino on the 2nd line.

As I just stated in my other post. On more then a few occasions in the past I've mentioned Strome as our #2 center and was blasted on here and corrected that Strome is JT's future wing. Nelson is our future #2 center and Johan Sundstrom was the heir apparent 3rd line center.

Its not a big deal. I always preferred the idea that Strome would be our #2 center for many yrs to come & argued so. I'm surprised that no one even remembers any of those past posts (debates).
