Shoulder surgery too. Two of the biggest injury red flags in pro sports. |

I take your non-response... and head shake as a non-answer... winning is for a privileged few.. we are still trying to get there. For the Leafs to win... it will take a far superior team to anyone in the league.. Bettman will probably die in the process from the Leaf success.
Ratings will be down in the US... like any of us care. - DoctorNHL
if you are promising Bettman's demise if the Leafs win... that now gives me another good reason to cheer for Leaf victory...
on a serious note, and no I'm not feeling sorry for GaryB, but it has got to be getting to him, whether he admits it or not... being booed every single time he speaks. beautiful thing. |

Thanks coming from you.. I take it in the highest regard... you talk well but your results are poor.
You are the Iggy of the boards.. highly skilled.. show well... but in the end grossly wrong. - DoctorNHL
Alrighty.
Hope you are feeling well, wouldn't want another meltdown like last time.

Very bold prediction...
He's got a gold medal at least... 2 i think actually - orienbrady22
If I am wrong.. you can tell me straight.. but I think a Canadian Hockey Team.. should always win.. don't think Iggy had anything to do with the star studded line-up that won.
He helped tho...
But shouldn't we always win... we are the New Zealand rugby of hockey.. such great talents... we only beat ourselves.

Agree. Pay Vinny what he wants Nonis! If Grabo makes 5.5, give him that. If he wants 6 for 3 years Do It! - Byfuglien Ate Me
Id bet Nonis is willing... Id also bet it doesnt matter and he ends up signing with Montreal any way... hoping to be surprised though... |

Posting gifs on a board isn't considered a meltdown.. but I see what you are angling at... weak sauce..
Maybe conjecture does well for you in regular life.
You are a bright boy.. surely you can do better...

Weren't they caught on camera all buddy buddy and smiling at the last all-star game? And afterwards Iggy came right out and said all of that stuff was outright false? He's probably too classy a guy to say otherwise, but why hang out with him on the ice before the game if they had a legitimate beef with each other? - BlueBallz
Exactly, because it's all speculation. The media trying to come up with a reason as to why he was traded. I think we all know why he was traded now, because he's overpaid, and not that good in the defensive zone, not to mention his offensive numbers were in decline. |

Set up the gold medal winning goal with a great effort and pass.. Other countries have great hockey talent.. Ne one of Sweden, Russia, USA, Canada could take it on any given year imo... I agree i don't think he will ever win a cup, only was 3 4 years max left... |

I would never wish anything bad on anyone.. but he deserves every boo he gets...
The Leafs had a deal with Tampa for the third pick to buy-out LeCav... and Daley sprouted out straight away as it was circumvention of the cap.. meanwhile the Isles grabbed Thomas to make the floor.. and NJ sent dudes down yearly to stay below.. why is it that when the Leafs use their muscle it is wrong.. but every other team can do what they have to do...
Screw Gary.. |

Orien I said he didn't win at the highest level which is the NHL... that is all...I don't hate the guy... but Canada should win every year period..

Making it too game 7 of the finals is better than any Leaf player in the past 46 years... Did it without the best supporting cast as well, in a league if you ask me that doesn't want a Canadian team to win the cup.. But yes i get ur point he's never won a stanley cup... |

The point was he never won at the NHL level even with a stacked team... |

gib me sum Horton.
I'd be fine with 5-6m for Horton. Guy fits Carlyles system so well.
If our wingers are Kessel, Lupul, JVR, Horton in our top 6, thats damn near close to best top 6 WINGERS out there. Probably only 5 or so teams that are even close. |

In the end I don't think he will sign with the Leafs and I don't think he is where we want to go.
We want to win... we have the best and most loyal fans in the sport... winning is what those fans deserve...
Iggy is a good player... but not where we want to go..

I hope Lou demands a trade and Sits for the year. Bryz in Van with Torts and Gillis, now that's entertainment! |

I think the Leafs definitely need to toughen up at the forward position but Horton will command a lot of money. Not worth it for me..
He shows up in the playoffs but isn't great during the season.
I would go elsewhere to increase that size...
I would also trade JVR at his high point... |

The highest level is not the NHL. The highest level is the Olympics. That's why only the best of the best get to play. Many players in the NHL don't get to play for their respective countries.
And Iggy has won twice playing with the best of the best. And being an important part of it, too. You can't deny he is a hell of a hockey player. And his downfall was staying with a not very good team most years in Calgary. |

Not funny or witty, just makes sense.
I'd take him I'm Edmonton absolutely, but like I said he probably wants a top contender. Which Toronto and Edmonton are not.
No need to get defensive.

Let me get this straight the highest level is where a bunch of players get mashed together and in one week are supposed to build a team game. Not a league that plays 80+ games and then takes 4 rounds to decide a champ.

Man oh man... This many pages about iginla and why he would or wouldn't come to Toronto...
It's very simple. He won't. He is only going to sign with legit contenders here on out.. He'll try to get his cup before he retires. That's it, that's all.
Toronto isn't on his short list, not even on his long one. |

Never defensive with you Robin.. or Iggy for that matter.. I have no need for him.. on the Leafs.
It is a two way street.. and we want to win...
