Clarkson is the replacement of a Clarke/Domi/Tucker. Since those guys have retired, the leafs have been missing a player like that. Sure we have Orr, and McLearan. But Clarkson is capable of scoring more than our enforcers. Just like Clarke was like.

Agreed. Ashton, Ross and Biggs look to fit the Clarkson mold, but not sure of their ceiling. Broll more along the lines of straight goon. Is that a fair/accurate assessment?

I think with Komarov gone, Ross may get a good look for a 3rd/4th line spot this year.

Was I not talking of the NHL.. did I mention his jr career.. do we really care what a player did in Jr. if he doesn't succeed in the NHL.

Some great players never won a Cup.. they couldn't do it at the highest level.
Now my understanding is a great offence makes a lousy defence look good... 4 straight games.. against a team that had to rob the Leafs to make it the next round. I wished with got the Pens first... it would've been easy.

toughness and Horton have never really been mentioned by any commentator that I have heard. So I would not say Horton would be the answer. Sure he can score. But be as tough as Clarkson has been????

I like the Bolland move because he is a winner at all levels.. Iggy is a loser.. even on a stacked team...

no im saying if your worst case scenario actually pans out then thats not that bad... or best case scenario clarkson does develop chemisty with people in the top 6 and continues to be the 20-30 goal guy that he has been the last couple years
