done. there has to be boundaries though. if a couple big time defenseman are brought in or something crazy happens, and gardiner is shoved to the ahl as a result.. it doesn't count.

can't have bragging rights on some technicality.

hats off, wasn't easy to shake my garth status. i've had that for a few years, but you earned it..

Well yeah.

If Bozak leaves the Leafs we'll be able to tell by the end of next season what kind of impact he really had. It will be interesting.

My whole point is the Leafs first line works. Yet we always start there and forget we a had Kadri plus no one else scoring behind line one but lets change it first. (frank)ing stupid.

not a bad season, not a 5 mil season.. (in my opinion)

had a great 1/3 of the season, than was outscored by grabovski over the other 2/3, a guy who had the worst year of his career, and has had the entire fanbase demanding his skull on a plate ever since.

just not enough for me to warrant gambling with that kind of money over that kind of term.

- joel878

If Grabo hab scored 10 G in his first 15 games, nobody would be saying poop...

Anyway, I'm pretty sure the leafs are going to sign him, and when they do I'm even more sure he'll be all of our favourite player by November 1st.

He's what this team needs, even if he only averages 20 g a yr.

So you think Kessel would have been even better then a top 10 NHL scorer?

All this tells me is that when paired with skilled line mates he goes to the net and gets a lot of dirty goals

And that's exactly what Leafs need

- Big_Lightnin

Youtube his goals, they're actually mostly pretty. I'm not for a minute saying he's a #1 centre, I'm just saying he's a decent player, takes a lot of flak which is surprising since he was one of those found wallet type players. I would never lump him in with say a hoglund. He's no Steve Thomas, but he is what he is....imo a guy who can get 20 goals and 40 points and not hurt you defensively.

Does rehab time count? I mean that seriously, you don't want that type of loophole hanging over your head.

I'm in. Christmas is the date. Any time before is in play.

i feel like we should get dozzer/leafman to arrange some sort of lengthy ban for someone come christmas day just to ensure this plays out right..

well that's the thing. loopholes must be closed, and it's far to lengthy for location material.

First line works, not because of Bozak but because of Bozaks wingers. I don't think you get that!

First 10 games, if Kessel had a center who could feed him the puck or he could feed the puck too during his goal less, maybe the Leafs get a few extra points and don't face Boston in first round. Your assumptions seem to suggest that what we have is the best we can get and that's just idiotic.

With a proper 1C....Hell yeah!! He definitely would have had more points then playing with Tyler (frank)ING Bozak.

Before the season ended I said they should re-sign Bozak unless they get a proven #1C to replace him, although at the time I did not expect he'd cost a ton to keep.

My suggestion is no where close to that. My suggestion is until someone comes in and keeps Kessels production where it is or greater then Bozak should be the guy.

well, seriouly, if he gets hurt and has to play a game or two down there, i'd feel bad for Cooshie or is Joel if that forces them into an alt account

Truthfully, while I disagree with you HH on things, I rather it just be a case that should Gardiner work out you simply admit you were wrong and vice versa should you be right about him, I'd man up. Hell, I saw enough guys on here change their tune in regards to Kadri. We're a fan base that has seen a lot of poop go wrong. Its understandable that we're hesitant to buy into something. That's probably what makes me laugh the most, is when a fan from another team says "oh, you're a leaf fan, you're stupid." Fact is, most of us are a negative bunch. Like seriously, who here actually thought the Leafs were going to win game 7? It probably wasn't until the score was 4-1, that we actually let ourselves believe it. And then the second they scored to make it 4-2....I guarantee everyone here was like oh poop. We're Leaf fans, we're used to disapointment and expecting the worst.
