Three years at 4.5 is OK for him. The cap goes up next year, so he may be a bargain. He has some grit to his game, so he's not one dimensional. - PrinceLH
that i won't disagree with. it's an extra year, and an extra 500k on what i think he's worth... but he's an unrestricted free agent.
i'm willing to bet on him getting 5+.. maybe towards 6, over at least 5 years.. which will be a disgusting overpayment, and highly regrettable within 2-3 years. |

They are doing the right thing. Drafting for future need. By the time Gauthier is ready, it should be near the end of Bolland. We already have Rielly in the pipeline and a year from now, we'll be talking about him making the big team. With Finn, Percy and Blacker developing, we have some good 2nd tier defensemen, to go with our blue chip prospect Rielly. I only wish that we had a few more offensive forward prospects coming through the system, but that may come, in time. It wouldn't hurt to add a goaltending prospect, maybe next year. - PrinceLH
Drafted a goalie this year. |

Nah I love this poop. Hilarious. Throw some of the Corsi stats out and then start thinking oh maybe they are a little skewed love that. Kessel played one shift with Max Bentley and scored therefor Bentley is the best center for Kessel. God bless. |

who knows, if Grabo can get back to being a 50 point centre, you might get your wish of more young forwards/prospects coming our way in a trade. |

I think Nonis is going to surprise us. He's holding the Grabovski card close to his vest, until he has a legit, or close to legit number one in the fold. Then he may move him. It's possible that he keeps some of the salary, to make other teams interested. Liles needs a new home too......same deal!

Corsi stats are for losers. Bring me grit and tenacity, any day and it more often then not, overtakes skill. |

For a guy who absolutely hated Stajan, I'm really surprised you're so solidly tucked away into the Bozak is awesome camp. If Bozak will stick for 3.5M, then sure, keep him here man, I'm by no means a Bozak hater. |

5 yrs $5m per would likely get it done for the Leafs , and though pricey they need to do it.
Do agree $6m is way to much.. |

And HH, he actually didn't use corsi to make his point, he simply used GF vs GA in situations where Bozak and Kessel are together and when they're apart. Corsi would've had much more information, much of it useless imo. |

he's overpaid at that if he doesn't have kessel on his wing.
there's no room for him anymore. any kind of third line role that he would have been average at has been taken.
he should fire his agent. |

For 3.5, yes! Keep him and use him as a third or fourth line center. There's no reason that Bolland can't play on the 4th line and given 3rd line minutes, similar to what Boston does, with their 3rd and 4th lines.

No I loved it when you weren't sure you had the numbers the right way and then got pointed out you were working with a 6:1 ratio pretty well sums it up to me. Do me a favour forget stats and watch a game. See if that helps. |

And yet your not huge on Clarkson? - Big_Lightnin Sure, I'll take Clarkson, for about 4.5 million a year. He gets his nose dirty and doesn't mind going to the blue paint. We need more forwards like him. It completes two solid top 6 lines, if we get a decent number 1 center. Our third line could be one hell of a third line, if we start moving some of the middling talent downwards.....Kulimen?

I agree but so far he's traded for a 24 year old unproven goalie and a 2nd /3rd line grinder . Both of which we already have .
I hope he has plans to address what we REALLY need |

wow.. !
guess i should have gone to you, with a statement like that, you're obviously the hockey knowledge champion of the world who has never come across a quirky rule he wasn't aware of.
or you could have just replied with 'i'm an arrogant (frank)ing Richard, and you're not allowed to have an opinion'. that would have worked to. - joel878
