I mentioned last 2 years, and yeah they did. But he also did better against Crosby and malkin and the like. - burn
I'm with you, lets see what he can do this year. No more buyouts......well, maybe komisarek and liles if we can't trade him. |

Clarkson is a 3rd liner on a Stanley cup team, but could fit on a teams second line as a complimentary player. That's my opinion |

Burn, he had a crap season. I give him a D- for this season. It was nice to see the fire back in the playoffs, but even in the playoffs, I thought he was gold in the offensive zone, but a huge liability in our own zone.....though in his defense, O'Byrne did a fine job of turning over the puck while on the ice with grabo. - mykokes
Pun intended.? |

well clarkson is a 2nd liner now, will be a 3rd within a season or 2. so he's not that far off. if he had added 'this free agencys class epic bust'.. he would have made up for it. |

There may be a market for Liles, once free agency plays out. Once all of the top UFA's are taken, Liles may be a bargain for some team struggling to make the playoffs. Maybe a good fit in Carolina.

The cap goes up next year, so he may be a bargain. He has some grit to his game, so he's not one dimensional.

Only thingk he doesn't do is kill penalties.
He's exactly what this Leaf team needs in the top 6 |

wow.. !
guess i should have gone to you, with a statement like that, you're obviously the hockey knowledge champion of the world who has never come across a quirky rule he wasn't aware of.
or you could have just replied with 'i'm an arrogant (frank)ing Richard, and you're not allowed to have an opinion'. that would have worked to. |

They are doing the right thing. Drafting for future need. By the time Gauthier is ready, it should be near the end of Bolland. We already have Rielly in the pipeline and a year from now, we'll be talking about him making the big team. With Finn, Percy and Blacker developing, we have some good 2nd tier defensemen, to go with our blue chip prospect Rielly. I only wish that we had a few more offensive forward prospects coming through the system, but that may come, in time. It wouldn't hurt to add a goaltending prospect, maybe next year. |
