I think WPG needs depth and knows it. A Roster player and a decent Prospect gets you Byfuglien IMO.

By the trade deadline...I'd like it if he could sniff that by 82 games thanks.

According to TSN Vancouver has put Keith Ballard on waivers, but not with an intention to buy him out. If I'm not mistaken you can claim a player for 1/2 of the salary cap off of waivers. Would you guys like to see Nonis pick up Ballard for 2.1 and only 2 years? I know he's their Komisarek, but I don't think he's useless.

Bolland played most minutes this year with Patrick Kane. Yep playoff MVP Patrick Kane plus Patrick Sharp, and racked up a total of an eye whopping 14 points and was a -7.

Kessel will get what he deserves from the Leafs, but I doubt they announce any extension this summer.

I see a lot of people want the Leafs to sign Horton, I'm not in that camp. I'd rather Nonis spend the assets it takes to get C. Stewart. The two GMs were seen speaking at the draft, and Burke made the JVR trade around the draft last year after speaking with Holmgrem for a while.

I don't see them in the same type of role at all, I pay Bolland well if he is great at being RC's prized shutdown guy. I don't hate Bozaks game, but don't like the numbers being reported.

I also agree that Bolland will be used in a shutdown role which still leaves 1c as a problem if they don't sign someone and that includes Bozak.

Clarkson woon't be on the first line, but with Lupul and whoever at centre, should be a nice tough to deal with sencond line.

Nice pick with Sam Morin. That's what I admire about Philly, they always seem to get it right. Well not usually with goaltending choices but with most other things.

What has this hockey world come to? I was at a bar with my friend and next to us sat two other guys talking about hockey. TSN was at this time and still is showing Canada vs USA 2007 WJC semis. And one of the guys goes on to say that New Jersey have acquired one of the best goalies in the NHL from Vancouver, Schneider. I just turned around, shooked my head at him. Devils made the best move for going for a second best goalie in NHL right now and he's going to be lights out. I almost spilled my beer
