Agreed. I respect Clutterbuck, would take him on the Flyers in a heartbeat, and am going to hate seeing him on the ice when we play the Isles.

The teams I'm watching our for in the next few seasons are Columbus, Buffalo and Montreal.

Buffalo took two stud defencemen that could have easily been drafted by Flyers in Ristolainen and Zadorov. Interesting to see how things pan out in a few years if we landed those two instead of Morin/Haag

... who base our opinions on what other people who watch these kids play year after year have to say about them.

Meaning the same scouts who urged Homer to pick Morin at #11?

Either way, we have to get through this season and likely the next before we even get a peak at either Morin or Hagg in a Flyers uniform, unless they wildly exceed expectations.

I'm confident with all the young players we're stockpiling we're going to find a few solid NHL defenders.

Consensus rankings are well and good, but every team has it's own internal board and rates players different. I won't lie, I preferred Pulock and Zadorov, but I like Morin as well.

Just the overall negativity is tiresome.

I think we will always remember where all of these defenseman went in 7 years. Kind of like how all Eagles fans remember that Brandon Graham was picked just ahead of Earl Thomas and JPP

Risto was my first choice. I was bummed when Buffalo took him. And like everybody else, I was quite surprised when the took Morin instead of Pulo or Zado, but then again, nothing went quite to plan with that draft yesterday...Jones didn't look too happy when 3 picks went and he was still sitting there.

I don't understand everyone's fascination with trading down for more 2nd and 3rd round picks. From what I remember reading historically only 25% of 2nd rounders made it to the NHL and played 200 games and 12% of 3rd rounders. Since 1990 only 3 players have played 200 games that were selected by the flyers in the 2nd round and 4 in the 3rd.

Case in point, Feaster seemed convinced he came away with 3 of the top 13 players in the draft.

What a dumb (frank)in pick....hopefully he can play wing []

Coulda had Maatta. Coulda had Finn.

I know we talk about "the best available player", but how can you say that Maatta wasn't the fit for this team. More than this guy was.... [] [] []

I'm not a huge lecavalier fan. I feel like they can do better with the amount it will cost to get him. #2 center over the next 4 years isn't really a major need for this team
- PhillySportsGuy

Last season the Flyers had Giroux take the majority of the draws. He needs relief. Homer has aldo said that he wants size up front. I'm not a Lecavalier fan either but he fits the bill for areas needed up front. Couturier could learn a lot from him.
