They can't be worse that Raymond and Weise - vancouverdawg
I wonder if Booner is going to blame Gillis for getting rid of Raymond as well. |

So what do you think he will be. If these guys end up being 3rd liners I think thats a bid loss for van especially considering we traded CS for one of them. If they are 2nd liners then we did well. Like I said Im just playing the odds and the reality is one of these guys wont be a consistent NHL'r. I wish I knew you and it would be just easy money. Just like I bet my buddy 500 bucks the nucks wont win 2 cups in the next 6 years. I did that 5 years ago. Dont just be a homer. - Bluechip23
Hah.
You sound like a real winner there, Chipper...
It would definitely be interesting "if [you] knew [me]"...
I can tell you that you definitely wouldn't get a dime of my money—which reminds me, I just won a bet with Isles06 over Lou not being bought out.
I wouldn't put money down on prospects, but I also wouldn't write one or the other off a day after they're drafted.
As for your "homer" comment, if I'm a homer, you must be under the table with your head between your knees waiting for the sky to hit... |

I hear snow asked, but found out he had 9 years remaining on his back diving contract so he declined - Isles_since_6

No one we drafted is making the team next year. As good as Bo is I will be shocked if he is the starting 3C next year. Can we even fit his salary under the cap if he does. Not sure what the rookie wage scale is. - Bluechip23
It's a good draft in a big draft year. At least it projects to be. I'm very happy with our haul right now, but like any other draft it will take a couple of years to really see how we did. MG still has a lot of work ahead of him, but it's not like this mess is all his fault.
For all the people feeling sorry for Lu, perhaps they should remember he started this mess by saying he wanted to be traded if he couldn't be a #1 goalie. Now he's a #1 goalie, so why do people still feel sorry for him?

but yes, you got two solid kids. should be stoked - hugefemale dog77
He refuses to go to the middle of the ice unless nobody else is there. |

Its supposed to be the 3rd or 4th best draft in the last 40 years. (03, 84, 79 i think). But even the 03 draft had a 50% bust rate. So lets just throw caution to the wind here before we think we have added the sedin twins of 99. Am I happy with our picks of course I am. I am very big on Bo and I like Shink as well. Dont know the later round guys but like all drafts there will be busts and the reality is in the 1st round 50% of the draft will be a bust and thats if its a GREAT draft. Lets just hope its not our guys. |

I said a long time ago that one or even both could be dealt. Gillis had no backup plan to lose both. I still wouldn't hesitate to deal Lu. That said I think Lu is great. |

This may be true but let us enjoy our draft results and see how the kids do on the farm next year. |

I wasn't sold that Schneider would be traded—was pretty sure he wouldn't be, actually...
But I know how much the Aquilinis hate writing cheques from personal experience, so I was pretty sure Lou wouldn't be bought out. |

Well, considering 16 of the 1st rounders have been all-stars i'll consider that inaccurate. There are a few guys in the 1st round that haven't done much, but a regular contributor in the NHL is far from a bust. |
